X-Ball in Europe

Thats not that bad
...Who else could step up to buy a team??Jt,WDP,Worr,or Kingman is a possibility..The long shot would be outside companies making an investment but unlikely unless NXL was a sure thing..And Dick Clark buying the rights to it in no way gaurantees success for the league..Its a big step,but not a sure thing..Anyone here in the US also knows that the guys who play SlamBall surely have full time jobs..

Prozac has offered to buy Flashpoint a franchise - hell, Kareem keeps 'em in business, so I figure they owe us - but we're waiting on Hef to throw his wallet into tha ring cos I wanna be Team Playboy and get tha Lear Jet an everything.

I think that it sucks that the powers at be sent you guys down the river becuase they were to conservative. It was a big risk and when you talk about risking moneys people seem to loose thier sack.
I hope that you guys can work it out and play X-ball with us next season. If you cant I think that if things go the way I have been told they are going to go then with the $. Then there is a real chance that you might loose the best Euro players to the USA x-ball teams.
I know that if you guys had a league and you offered to pay us $50,000 a season to play that we would be over there. You know what has to happen and who has to make it happen so just apply that sparkling personality of yours and make it happen.

As to what you suggest happening i.e. us Euros hemorrhaging players to the US, I had already foreseen this happening if recent events unfolded as they did, it is my biggest fear that not only are we not going to be part of the new world order, that also our talent base would be eroded away by the lure of the dollar.
I don't think there is any way we are going to be able to integrate our X-ball leagues now, I’m afraid that time has gone.
We have no real chance of making it happen here now even though I keep hearing optimistic noises from some quarters, the fact is, we don't have the same opportunities either with industry backing or media potential and thus we are now sentenced to play second fiddle in a rag tag proposed X-Ball that means nothing to nobody except those trying to save face.

why dont you guys jsut buy a couple of franchises. there are lots of big companies over there that could afford one. trust me im not counting my dollars just yet I am just hopeing for the best, but it would suck not to be able to see my friends from over seas ever again.
I think that one of the reasons that they arent makeing it easy for you guys is that you didnt give them the leap of faith that they wanted. You guys didnt share the risk so why the reward. Also you guys are supporting the S7 so strongly and Im sure that pisses them off to know ends.
but with all of the being said I think that if the right people make the right moves then things can happen. Eruope is a big market and there are lots of $$ to be made by companies on both sides of the pond.
I hope to be playing against and hanging out with my friends from over seas next sesaon. Like nexxus, RL, Joy, ton tons etc. its going to take allot of effort on your part but I think that its worth it

Rich, the buy-in figure is now something like 500 big ones, no company over here is gonna fork that kinda dosh out for a Brit team, no matter how good.
