1--I got to disagree here Cow - check out the number of Americans on threads on PBN and the like getting behinfd the Nexus bandwagon - look at the number of pics of Nexus cropping up on Paintball.com, Forceofnature etc.? A young, aggressive Pro team with a growing rep will be selling EBlade Cockers in the US better than any other team out there barring the Naughty Dogs.

2--Dye, WorrGame etc. know that the Robbo name, as you said, gives credibility in the early stages, but the good coverage Nexus is getting in mags and online is worth its weight in gold...

3--Remember, Worrgame sell more Cockers in one week in California then they do in one year in the UK. The uinvestments RPS, WGP etc. are making on the team simply do not stack up if they're based on markering in a narrow, UK-based scenario.
I see everyone in Merry Olde England is passin' the crack pipe around on a boring Monday morning.
1--since its intro Planet hasn't been able to make enough E-Blades to keep up with demand anyway and if you want let's compare sales of Planet's Nexus E-Blades with WGP's Orracle E-Blades as used by the Dogs to judge relative impact on the marketplace.
2--true but--given that Pete was fronting the team that coverage was pretty much guaranteed from day one and that's why they got the level of sponsorship they got.
3--show me the numbers. :p Sounds like a made up factoid to me. Point 2 is the one that matters.

I believe that the Orracle E Blades have been around a lot longer than the Nexus EBlades. I know that planet already have a huge backlog of Nexus E Blades on order, they are ordered faster than they can be made. bearing in mind that Nexus only got the Nexus cockers a month or so ago of course they will have sold less.

1.And they've made, what 20 so far? And did I not say 'barring the Dogs'? And the market place is competitive and soon the EBlade won't be the next new thing, and that's when Nexus's impact and marketing ability will pay dividends.

2. Is true, but the interest the team is generating is now paying its own way.

3. Nope!

4. We're right, you're wrong, Sam's blind. :p

If Nexus were the same team, but from the US, there's no way they would have received the sponsorship they did at the beginning of the season.

I think after this weekend that may no longer be true anymore, but Baca's right: PRIMARY factors were likely Europe+Pete.

Yeah Baca, We're right, you're wrong.:p

(Ghostly snigger)

[ Good argument there, Sam. "Duffy agrees with me. Na-na-na-na-na" I'm sure you can find a few more Brits prepared to agree with you, too. Wow, impressive. So I guess Tigers got Matrixes to impact US sales, too, and Shockwave got RaceGuns for the same reason. After all, the UK isn't worth bothering with according to Duffy. ]

(Oi, I'm haunting this post - and Sam was actually claiming (rightly) that he was here first, so I changed my post. And the UK isn't worth bothering about to the extent those companies bothered about Nexus - not by a long, long chalk)

Remove Europe and you're right Chris, no-one is disputing that Robbo was the sole reason the team got sizeable deals, the point is Nexus is now a valuable marketing tool in the US.
