I also got told over the weekend, from a respectable and extremely good source (and all you guys know I do not bull****) that a request was made by the Ton Tons to have ramping velocity boards fitted to their markers, the request was subsequently denied by this particular person……..whether they were successful in their quest may be indicated by some of the welts my guys took when playing them.

a cheater board like this would be proof enough ? to break the law

No, it wouldn't.

Know how much proof Robbo has? Zero.

And whether he is in fact right or not is absolutely immaterial to your post regarding individuals taking legal action.

i was at cc this weekend, and i saw the ton ton...Did they had players banned for gun cheating?? NO Were they playing over 15bps ?? i can't tell it but no one has been banned or pulled out for playing over 15bps...so i cannot say that they cheated, i have no proof.
A lot of people here blame the ton ton for cheating and at the same time they have no proof of waht they say...not good...

I have another question : what is the penalty for fixing a game? i'm not very familiar with all the MS rules...thanks

Wow, this thread has suddenly gone mighty quiet. Let's get back to the Frenchy bashing, aaarrrggghhhh, why those no good miserable rotten ...

Hey, where is everybody?

Okay, try this as a general proposition. No specifics just as an idea. All those in favor of allowing refs to pull players for illegal guns based solely on the ref's judgment raise your hand. Good.

Now everyone in favor of allowing refs to determine collusion (game fixing) based on the outcome or the appearance of how the game played out or perhaps based on a quick look at the scoreboard raise your hand. Thank you.

If you "voted" the same way both times at least you are consistent. If you split your "vote"--how come?

EDIT ADDED: the taboo topic--game fixing now has it's own thread in SYB.

You are right I think that Ton Ton were not banned for an illegal marker.

Robbo was mislead by me as we had witnessed a Ton player having a marker tested after a game that was clearly in PSP mode (he had carried out the obvious flag run gun clear down though). We didnt see the outcome but heard later about a player being banned (for fighting as it happens) and assumed that it was for the illegal marker.

I watched loads of Ton Ton games. The way they played the actual paintball impressed the hell out of me - I told Laurent so. However it is also as plain as the nose on your face that their markers were illegal. The ramping kicked in almost immediately for one - that is clearly not right.

As for fixing games. Well thats reprihensible isnt it?

Surely if you have fast enough fingers, it would seem that the ramping kicks in immediately anyway? Im right in thinking (and please tell me if I am not) that you have to obtain 7bps before ramping kicks in, so if you rattle off 12-15 bps, it would seem like ramping is instant when in fact it isnt.

The bps of their guns was not 15. It cant have been. I would put money (if I had any money :) ) on them there guns being 18bps or more.

AFAIK, by Millennium rules there is no 3-shot requirement before ramping kicks in - it can start immediately after the 2nd shot if the time between the first two shots is under 130ms.

When I say unfortunately, I mean that had he played even one game, the Tontons would have automatically forfitted all their games, according to the rules, which would have put a much different spin on the quarterfinals division - especially the last round match-up, where the Tigers would have had a reason to play for the win, and could have made the final four, had they beat Nexus with 5 players alive :)

Ironically, I understand it was someone from the Tigers that made the officials aware of Laurent not being an eligble player - so can you say "irony"? :D :p

SO BEING ON THE FIELD AT THE 10 SECOND CALL IS NOT PARTICIPATING. HOW DID HE GET ON THE FIELD WITH NO PLAYER PASS. the penalty was for him to leave the field, surely the team should have been DQed. that is most definitely favourable ajudication from the judges as any other team would have been out.
