True, but they have resources far greater than any Euro team does.

>Some Euro teams can match their resources

And they have far more weekly time alloted to training schedules and team meets do they not?

>That's down to dedication on their part and could be matched by anyone else who chose to

I think this season you'll see half-a-dozen teams play NPPL and Div. 1 XBall...

True, but livivng in the same house with most of your team helps;)

I think that many of the EXL teams will choose to concentrate solely on XBall, and as such will play the 4 EXL eventsa and will play the majority if not all of the Division 1 Xball at the PSP events. I cant see many EXL teams going over to play the NPPL because it will result in a dilution of team cohesion caused by focussing on two wholly different formats

No, they would have PSP/NPPL events to play, right? And according to the EXL teams themselves, they have the needed resources to play in USA.

And THAT would make a lot of the top Pro teams think they were better off playing 8 x 7-man events.

EXL is not "top of the pops" as you put it, because we are told so - it is because all the best teams play it (except Hardcore)

As soon as a couple of the top teams (lets say Joy Division and Nexus for instance, opted for Premier League instead, the EXL would be devalued, and we would end up with 2 formats compeeting against eachother, at the same events !

Nick
So it is ok to leave all the other Pro Teams, and the ones that may wanted to take the step up, with just 4 events then!!!

Is it just me..............................

A Merry Christmas to all, and HOPEFULLY a Happy New PB Year!

You make it sound as it there are lots of pro teams left out. I can still only think of one deserving of a place in the EXL. Who else is there? :)

i doubt it Nick. I cant see any of the EXL teams playing ore than the 4 EXL events and then Toulouse. The rest will be Div 1 xball or at a push the NPPL

I have no idea what we are doing. But the above teams could do that i guess if their resources would stretch to cover 12 or so events. 12 events is a huge drain though, and on top of training would test any sponsors pockets, would sponsorship for lesser teams in the Divisional 7man be tightened or even witdrawn in order for sponsors to back the pro teams that decide to play everything? And what about those teams without fully fledged second teams? Like Ignition, Tigers, Ducklings.....what do you think you will do Nick?;) Cos they aint gonn abe happy just playing 4 events......

Nick
Why should it be any different for the EXL teams than it is for the NXL teams? You want the same opportunity you pay the same price.

Not the point as from a purely selfish view of course I'd prefer to see more good teams mixing it up. The point is the NXL restriction is intended to reinforce the isolation of the XBall "elites" until TV makes it a reality. If EXL is supposed to be the Euro equivalent of the NXL how can "dropping down" to say, play the odd Division 1 event, be justified? It sends precisely the wrong message particularly if the EXL teams participating get smoked.

Hi Nick

My guess is that super league will be made up by the Pro teams that didn't make the cut for Exl (two?) and the top Am A teams.
This means that this thing will affect at least 15 to 20 teams as instead of 8 if the Exl teams wouldn't be able to play supaleaque.

All the teams in supaleaque exept The Ducs and Ignition went to play at least two events in the states last year (correct me if I am wrong).
4 Exl tournament and two Nppl would give these teams 6 tournaments.

Solution?
