I didn't see any dangerous over kill all weekend, tonton lit some last player up and the guy had like 10 shots on him, but he would have got the same 5on1 with semi anyway...the refs were fairly quick on bonus balling calls
Oh, I keep forgetting that not everybody has the luxury of adjustable ramping as standard. I love SP!!!! :D

I managed to get away with 2 shots against the entirety of CD pro at the weekend when we collapsed in spectacular fashion! 7 on 1 and I didn't get overkilled, but I guess that was an experienced team, I can understand some concern over the new div 3 teams, the sandbaggers should be fine as many of them have more playing experience than half of the div 1 teams!!!!;) :p

thank god i had a hundredth monkey hat
yea the scarf rule sucks someone will get hurt in fact two peaple had to be helped off on field one
on the jersey front yes play in your tops one day then told the next day to change as another team moans and you can,t wear inside out ????
and yes i have a few stickers on my gear but same again played one day ok next had to take of or not play and this was on the same field as day before
if we keep ramping it should be capped at 15bps max but we don,t yet have the means to enforce and bring down fps to 280fps
for safety as we all know that markers out there were doing more then 15bps

what is the point in bringing down to 280fps? when you bunker someone you dont turn your gun down to 280fps on semi do you?
ramping all the way.

I don't care.....

.....if some manufacturers do not have programming that is within the rules... the MS should NOT have caved in on that issue.... those manufacturers could just have run their guns in true semi mode.

It is ridiculous that guns shoot 5-6 shots after trigger release - and it IS dangerous... doesn't matter if anyone got hurt at Maxs or not - it is an accident waiting to happen.

The MS should adhere to its own rules... which are when you release the trigger, your gun stops shooting!

I've changed my personal opinion about semi or not a few times but I think electronic help would be much more acceptable if:

¤ adequate cranium/full head protection were REQUIRED and the surface of such protection did not cause more bounces or absorb hits

¤ thicker and broader neck protection were REQUIRED and the surface of such protection did not cause more bounces or absorb hits

¤ the no-more-than-one-shot-after-trigger-release rule were enforced (If some manufacturers can do it why can't all?)

¤ eliminations were handed out more frequently and consistently for excessive shooting so players learn to control their fingers better. More clarity in the rules about what excessive shooting is might help along with more referee training.

Doesn't matter if they all can.

It is NOT the Series problem if a manufaturer is not able to get his guns to ramp within the rules.... too bad for him.... run your guns at true semi then - or buy another gun!

This is a simple fact guys, if a gun is ramping then it has to be firing more than 1 shot per pull, if you stop pulling the trigger the gun has to fire more than 1 shot, so it can not stop shooting as soon as you release the trigger. So if you want ramping at the level it is now (PSP rules) then you had better get used to the guns still firing 3 shots when you let go of the trigger.

I know that the manufacturers turned up in Germany expecting 15bps and no ramping, only to be told that the PSP mode with ramping would be permitted so the manufacturers installed that 15 bps ramping software instead.

I think the rules guys at the MS do not fully understand their own rules, and I think a large number of the players also do not understand the rules on this matter.

Just to clear up one little point, in psp ramp mode your marker will fire two shots after your last trigger pull not three as some think.
There are no legal modes in any league that allow any more shots than that.
I think if the markers could not be used within the rules of the MS they have done themselves no favours in allowing there use.
And should have made them use semi mode only.

The whole capped/ramp rule issue is about enforcing the rule(s) as written, allowing the teams/manufactuers to decide what they want to use is wrong.

In my opinion the MS rule on ramping (psp without the ramp restart) is the better option and they should have stuck to there rules.

A better option for the MS would have been to go for some form of auto responce mode where the gun fires in true semi until you get to say 8bps, then it starts to fire on the pull and on the release up to a MROF of 15bps. that way if you let go of the trigger the gun will only fire 1 more shot.
