We had one per field. I tested the device and measured whenever I could and found that I could begin to recognize when markers were shooting over the ROF limit. The first gun I suspected did indeed produce a reading of below 60ms between shots and the player nor his captain didn't even question the call when their game was forfeited.

The devices we used are prototypes and I understand we will be getting updated devices before DMA.

This whole issue was obviously the topic of many discussions and rants during and after the tournament. It will be interesting to hear the results of the surveys put out during the tournament asking the teams whether or not they prefer ramping ROF.

There were 5 bps counters, one with each head field judge and they were used all weekend. Also, two of the counters were available all day Thursday in the Players Chrono area.

We expect to have 30 of the devices for DMA, they are being modified following feedback from the Head Judges.

It wasn't like we had them out all the time because we had the other head reffing responsibilities to perform. I don't know how the other refs did it but I averaged checking about one gun per game. As I wrote, one does get used to the sound of around 15ps and in my opinion almost all of the guns were in compliance with the rules therefore there wasn't so much need for checking after Friday.

Pretty much every single team had all ramping, or some ramping, guns. The judging was good, people seemed to get shot less than with "semi".
