Since this thread is about the new rules for Millennium 7-player and NPPL, I feel I need to make sure there is no ambiguity.

Unless the rules are changed before Maxs Masters or I receive a different directive from the Millennium board the rules will be interpreted and enforced as they are worded.

What does that mean? Among other things:

1. No jerseys/tops with padding in the wrong places (shoulders, for example) will be allowed in a game. If you don't wear a legal top to the game you won't be playing.

2. No pink or orange colors will be allowed in uniforms or on hoppers. Comply or don't play.

3. Your jersey must be tucked in, under your packs.

There will be a few differences between NPPL and Millennium rules that will be clarified in the judges' and captains' meetings. One point is that we will penalize teams whose players fail to comply with our barrel sock rules. That means you will keep your barrel socks on when entering a field until we (the judges) tell you they may be taken off.

Some more points may come forth that I may or may not announce here. E-mail me if there are any questions.

Whats the point of making us tuck our tops in our packs??? I ****in hate this rule  Its never properly inforced (i.e some teams never get told to do it) and it makes playas look like some braces wearing Barrymore wannabe.

We're tryin to be an 'Xtreme' sport, yet their trying to make us look like muppets :(

Oh well, thas my early morning rant over :p :)

It's hard to read minds, Pete, and I have to prepare for our first event.

Whatever comes down the pike will fit in under:

The tuck-in rule will be enforced this year at Millennium events. The purpose: I think it is designed to make it harder for a player to hide a hit and easier for a judge to find a hit. If we allow jerseys to be over packs then obviously a hit could go under the shirt onto the pack. Also, a player can get hit on the belt and then pull the shirt over the hit. Again more difficulty for a ref to do her/his job. In both cases we have a hidden hit that the player can claim he/she didn't feel.

Many of these rules we're discussing have a partial purpose in making the refs' job less difficult.

The rule is reasonable and will be enforced unless the rule is changed or I get a different directive from my leaders.
