The problem arises, Steve, when producers use the lack of precision in some of the rules to try and gain a competitive advantage on their competition. This isn't going to stop.
The simple solution is write a rulebook now for '05 or '06. The rules that can be simple--no padding of any sort on any jersey or playing top--write simple. Those that can't are gonna need excessive verbage just to hedge the opportunities to take advantage. Can't see that there is any alternative.

and i completly agree with baca,
you have to give a full season for teams and manufacturers change over.

Of course Dye should know about this by now, they almost got their shirts banned last year,
but what do they do? they add extra padding in their trousers this year (which look really nice i might add, but they do have padding in them.

As a player, i submit my opinion that padded shirts should not be allowed.

I suggest one further, all padding worn under clothing should be hard plastic capped!

You are absolutely right, once again.

This really needs to be a work-shop project by people who care, can be trusted to act independently (unfortunate almost no one truly is independent) and who are competent. Safety, the players' interests, the promoters' interests, the fans'/supporters' interests, the media's interests, the manufacturers' and suppliers' interests all must be weighed in properly.

Doubt it will ever happen. It takes a lot of time to sort through this stuff and time is money. Who's gonna foot the bíll for overhauling all the major league rules properly?

The latest NPPL rules are a good step in the right direction.

Yes Robbo you have done very much for the sport of paintball and for the paintballers.
But some times your own/Nexus gain in a important-subject comes before common sense and you don't care about the rest of the paintballers. You have hard to listen to what other paintballers have to say when you are going into this mode. Just if everything goes your way you listen.
You really are a half wit aren't you, if you wanna make a point then READ the FCUKING posts, I ask AGAIN, 'what is it that I have said or done in this matter that is illogical, unfair, underhand or against the intersests of the paintballer?'

IN THIS MATTER !!!!
Do you see those words ?

Now as I sed, either put up or shut up !!

We have plenty of schoolkids that play tournament paintball, They could do a project for English.

"Specifically define the rules for a sport based on the rulebook presented which has various ambiguities"

I'm gonna set my own monkey slaves on it now!

That's a joke, son, like "hambone," doncha git it?

I think Booya was being sarcastic. I won't flame you or anything, but I see you haven't posted much. Therefore, you might not have read some of Booya's other contributions to the discourse here. In that context, it is clear that the comment he made was not literal in all likelihood.

Isn't that nicer than "NO, YOU'RE THE IGNORANT ONE," SI?
