One step forward, two steps back. Well its back to the old grind where good cheat softwares rule.

And the hopper rule just goes to show what kind of minds we are dealing with.

Board Re-programming

Hi guys

The DYE techs will be available to re-program your boards. You will find them, in quiet contemplation, at our Tech booth in the players area.

Please make sure that you get there early as I forsee some monumental queues if players leave it till the last minute!!! ;)

See you in Paris...

>If the marker has a ball detection system >on it, the player may be allowed to turn >the ball detection system on or off with >the permission of a referee.

So if in the middle of the game I get some dirt some dirt on the eye sensors I'll have to start calling a reff to check when I push a button rolf

>Players may also turn their loaders on/off >for purposes of cleaning with the >permission of a referee.

Same thing here whats the point with this? Do they really think someone would bother to build an intelilink system for the purpose of activating a cheat when you can do it alot easier with trigger code.
I guess I'll just have to call again a reff before the game starts when I want to check that my Halo is on and on the field if my hopper jams or needs to boot. I just hope we wont see same thing happen with these rules as in Germany with the hand on your head one-for-one disaster.

For those of you that dont get an software upgrade intime from your gun manufacturer start calling after some Virtue chips from Advantage lol.

Out of interest how will the marshalls on each field at the start, during and after each game going to check the difference between ramping at 7.5 and ramping at 5 bps?

Why on earth they feel that touching your hopper will in anyway make your gun different is beyond me. Im alsoamazed that they want the marshalls to stop watching the game and comeover to you straight away. I take it all marshalls will be fluent in english and that they will have extra marshalls to make up for the extra work they will be required to do.

This is fantastic, i can see how this will work now:

"marshall over here........i need to turn my eye off!!"

player 2 in the meantime wipes the shot off and does a run through while at least two marshalls are deciding who should go and baby sit the player as he checks his eye.

A fantastic example of how the MS cant organise a piss at a brewery.

Mind (singular) for the rules commissioner for coming up with idiotic rules and minds for the gnomes that keep him on board.

Some examples:

29.01 Players will be eliminated for picking up paintballs from the ground in order to shoot them.

29.03 Players will be eliminated if they are not wearing armbands issued prior to the start of the game, fully exposed on their left arms except they fell of by accident.

(Go ahead and take your armband off when a marshall isn't looking. You can always say it was an accident.)

39.03 Players will be ejected from the tournament grounds for the following:

- Deliberately shooting referees

(If you're in your final game and you have a beef with a marshall go ahead and lite him up. You will only be suspended for less than a game.)

Combine that with the new hopper-button rule, the hand-on-head fiasco at Bitburg, re-hanging a flag that is transit if carrier is hit, the language which often is anything but English plus quite a few other gems and you get the picture.

Where did they get the geezer? Even small local leagues have more reasonble rules than this. He's gotta go or things will just go from bad to worse (if that's possible.)

Duffitusta called me up and asked me to read this thread as he felt it warranted waking me from my comatose state with regard to these boards - He wasn't wrong !

The Millennium Board seem to have little to no idea when it comes to customer consideration; they give us ambiguous / impractical guidelines coupled with totally untimely announcements giving its customer base little time to react let alone consult.

It smacks of ignorance and arrogance to me and one that would not be tolerated in the real world where competition tends to shape commercial behaviours.

With the NPPL hovering in the wings of 2006, it seems ludicrous to me that these type directives have been laid at the feet of the Millennium’s customer base as it only creates fertile ground for the NPPL to seed.
Still, the Millennium Board must know what they are doing.....mustn't they ?
:):):)

PS - Not that I'm smiling or anything but I did say somewhere that allowing all this cr@p (ramping) was going to cause bigger problems than we had before, and allowing the lunatics to run the asylum was most definitely not the way to go.
Consensus opinions are not always the best rationale to make changes; the trick is, to know which ones fall into that category and obviously the Millennium Board have yet to develop that insight.

PPS Back to my long sleep ......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
