Beaks:

Just answer me this. Were those players signed for chelsea or did they have a set of players that had nothing to do with the team that offered to help out. Im pretty sure all this football comparisons end when we consider the strict rules in force that govern who can play for a team and when. If the RL players intend to play for the Nexus squad next year then furry muff!

However, my argument still stands. Be proud of a british team achieving things for british paintballers when the team is not made up of 'guests'.
I'm a little bit confused. Is a third place in San Diego enough to get in? Do the rest of the season count or just the last event? If it's the whole season, did Nexus use RL players all season around? were they just given the points?

(no real need to answer those, thanks)

I understand what you said but like you said "its given you a chance to sort your stuff out in 2005" its unfair on the other pro teams that cudnt make it to 2005 as pro, if you havent sorted your stuff out by 2005 thats your fault, not the team that cant play pro next year cus nexus or shall i say russian legion knocked them out.

HEMITT cudnt agree with you more mate.

It isn't fair, since Nexus was playing by their own rulebook, right?

I remember that section in the NPPL website, where you had to state what your team was before downloading the rules, so they could send you the Nexus Rulebook or the other one.

I also fail to see the big deal.

The way I see it Nexus (and other teams) made good use of the rules as they are this season. So instead of crying bloody murder, I say well done.

For fukk's sake, you lot bitch and moan about sandbaggers, now you have a team that aspires to play in a division above what you think it deserves to be in, and as such the team should rightfully be playing a lower division, and still you bitch and moan!
What the fukk's wrong with you lot?

Believe it or not, Nexus had actually attended a fair old few events this year, some more successful than others, and as it stood BEFORE San Diego we had accumulated sufficient series points to be in a qualifying position for next year, only just but we were in. I think this is a major point that hasn't been covered yet and people are failing to see. We weren't like 30th place or something and had sod all chance of making it, the use of RL players was more of a fail safe in case we did another "Vegas" effort.

And guess what, all the other teams that haven't made it could have attended every event prior SD to try and accumulte those precious series points just the same as we did. Is it our fault that they didn't ??? oh, wait perhaps it is.

Pebble, if SD was the only event that any team could qualify at for next year and the previous events were just practise or training events building up to SD then I would totally agree with you that getting RL in for the only qualifying event would totally not be fair. You know what, all the other teams that haven't qualified have had all year to "sort their stuff out" and get these points the same as we had and we did.

Teams knock themselves out by not getting enough points throughout the year, not just at SD, not just by Nexus/RL at one event.
