Some people here talk about the "hate" and I simply don't understand that. I for one have nothing to do with this and will not be effected in any way. I also don't care if Nexus or other teams use this loophole to their advantage, I certainly don't give a $hit which teams and countries qualify or not. I just say that attending a tourney without the majority of your real players is not FAIR. IMHO, you should be allowed to borrow 1-2 players but definetely not 7-8 players who play in a better team.

Once again I have no affilition with the NPPL or with any of the related teams but I feel that I have a right to criticize this situation as a simple tournament player. This rule has to be CHANGED.....

Not certain, but pretty sure, that our contracts with teams and players, lock them into using our gear to quite an extent, even when guesting with other teams.

But then I don't do sponsorships so I don't know for certain.

Having read what i wrote and re read a few posts i apologise to tigers and shock if they were grouped in under a united heading. I understand why Nexus did what they did, i too would also have done exactly the same thing to ensure a much needed spot for next year. They did exactly what they needed to do.

However, my argument still stands. Be proud of a british team achieving things for british paintballers when the team is not made up of 'guests'. When we have the infrastructure and support to produce a team of players as impressive as RL, then we will have truly reached a point where we can say well done. This is a step in the right direction. I now hope that Nexus will learn from this and show that they deserve the place they have been afforded.

When people come on the boards and say how proud they are of teams representing the UK, is it not worth questioning what it is you are proud of?

Nobody stopped supporting Chelsea (I think it was) who fielded a completely foreign team in the Premiership
