It's on the beach and you want to attract Joe Public and actually keep his/her interest. Good luck.
Well a little more constructive then.
BAD
Xball - Can't use that term it'll be hard enough explaining Paintball
Netting - OK it has to be there safety safety safety but to joe public it's a barrier to say can't go there, I don't have a cost effective solution to this one, money no object, really big window
and no giving them gogs and letting them onto a live fire field ow!
Joe P in the pits - do you wander into Man U's dressing room before/during/after game to say hello, have a look around, have boots thrown at your head
GOOD
Crowd participation - Cheering a team, get the local news in on it, even national should pick this up and get the teams out and about doing interviews paper, radio and for the hansome athletic types TV.
Hands On - Booths for J.P. to touch and try kit, shooting range
Meet and greet - Get some competions going. VIP treatment for the day, guided tour of the pits and fields, meet the teams, play an exhibition game
Hands on Pt2 - A punter field running 3 man, 5 man teams but get that going now and cheap as is humanly possible with win a pro to play for your team
Commentators - YES have to be but they also need to make it exciting. It's exciting to play but unless you have a connection with anyone out there it's not much fun to watch till some sap get's mugged on the tape line your watching. Anyone remember the Sky Sports coverage on the PA, it was v.dull if you weren't the one playing
Celebrity - No, paintballers are only famous to other paintballers, in the really world your a sad case who plays toy soliders (don't flame me i'm trying to be devil's advocate) Now if you could get Jordan and Peter Andre to play off against each other you'll be in every newspaper in the english speaking world. Ok aiming a little high but you get the drift.
If i'm thinking this right it's on the promenade which is the HIGHEST EVER PROMINENT PLACE PAINTBALL HAS EVER!!!!! BEEN PLAYED in the UK. Remember going to Campaign at Crystal palace, how many people in that stadium had never played or seen paintball. Very few i'm guessing.
Get it right and you'd easily double the amount of UK teams overnight.
