west midlands show worked well with the commentary just though the location was a tad pants right behind the food tent.

having a few guys or gal walking in the crown chatting they have to be confident and have some charm. may net off the pits and let then sit next to the pits but not in the pits if that makes sense. freebies i for one will be taking old jerseys some stickers, if you notice people have been wathcing for some time or come back to watch have a chat if they enjoy it give them something so in a month or two when they forget about the event the see it and go wow paintball lets go see/play that again.

just an idea maybe since this is the biggest and best forum in europe (world if you ask me) we could get some stickers with links to p8ntbball.com or some leaflets something so they can check what is going on in the world.

i had a few people ask at a local event who balls out where and i told them they didnt have a clue about blackpool and are now thinking about attending.

The running commentary at the West Mids Show was excellent and helped people to understand what was going on.

At Blackpool you do need people to draw the crowds in and make them feel part of the event.

Put or give a sticker to any spectators with a Team name on it and ask them to cheer/support that team, when they are playing and get some crowd participation.

They will feel obligated to stay around at least to see their team play and any noice created by crowds, draws in more people.

Ask teams to respond to their new found supporters , waive at them, show a bicep, pout etc etc they have all been doing in the mirror for years, so that should come easy ;)

Really good point about the teams responding and acknowledging the crowds, that works really well when teams like Joy Division and Nexus do it at Millenium events.

I know the teams and players can get really wrapped up in what is happening inside the netting but we need to make the spectators feel a much bigger part of the matches.

Football teams are always going on about "the twelth man" at home games.

Laters :)

With some really good suggestions coming out I think I’ve combined two that will really sell the game.

I think that women in bikinis is a tad sexiest and we should strive for equality (please read on before you call me gay).

We need a grand stand where lap dancers can earn some money by giving the spectators dances, but at the same time explaining the rules of x ball. The dances are half naked so easy to spot and can hand out leaflets including x ball rules and their business cards at the same time.

Its foolproof and would raise the profile of the game.

allright

giggity giggity.

how bouts a raised spectators area? i guess at blackpool members can watch from the promenade over looking the field so not so bad. gives a better viewing area.

liking the sticker/team idea. what about paper flags, baseball caps? etc with team names. with access to the teams to allow "autographing"

promo posters etc like campaign at the nec in 05, any freebies to hand out either from sponsors/organisers to players.

celebrity commentry/interviews with celeb players and man of the game.

also what about posters with player profiles/stats?

obviously this is all costly so i'll volunteer to wear a bikini for free to help keep costs down :D

let the crowd have some shooting practise. get a net area with targets and learn them sum of the positions etc. use re ball to keep costs low.

once they get the feel for it am surethe game itself will be more intresting. also water the place down and get the slides and falls in. there always good towatch and get a reaction.

If it ant broke dont fix it,

To many people have tried to make it more watchable but always ends on its arse, just like that stupid thing that idiot cash money thought he dreamed up.

Saying that maybe people thought that about xball as well.

I would try top get some good commentators and do some crowd stuff like chucking out lanyards stuff like that.

Alot of its been said, things like a psp style commentary where you invite people up from teams that have just played etc to voice their opinions, talk about the event, help explain paintball etc ... saves the commentators lungs at the end of the day.

Maybe things like Team Banners held up by ladies before each game and someone being a crowd warmer (like a fluffer in porn but to get the crowd going).

A Band playing in the background or something insane like that you would get at a big MotoX event.

Possibly have like in darts where they give the crowd blank signs to write things on??

The autographing thing would be cool though.
