So what happens to the fresh talent that your gonna need to fuel your all-star squad in the future? Would they be allowed to grow and train with the best of the best or would that defeat the point? Surely your just going to limit your gene pool playing and training to the highest level?

we would all love to see the brits bash the yanks but...

Heres a question....

How many of our top uk players would get a starting spot on the top 10 american teams...

I know you guys are looking at first place finishes right now, but it just isn't realistic. As much as you talk about the American teams, and how easy it seems to be to build a powerhouses over here, just look how much trouble the rest of the teams are having in just nudging the top two out of the way.

The real fight is for third and fourth. And yes, I know the Brits are still a ways down the line, but you have to do the best with what you've got at the time. I think that if teams like Nexus keep plugging away and hanging in there, the pieces are bound to fall. Picking up a bunch of young players to fill out starting positions is a long-dollar plan, and hopefully, as Nexus (for example) keeps pushing forward, the sponsorship will continue, and hopefully grow, both growing each other, and obviously making the team stronger.

I would assume that as the English market grew, so would the interest of sponsors. I know it isn't going to happen tomorrow, or even next season, but I can see Nexus, the Tigers, etcetera, one of them at least, finally building a Sunday regular.

What I can't see is a short-term fix to create a Euro super team to fly over and beat the crap out of everyone.

I, of course, have been known to be wrong.

EDIT ADD: And you guys wrote a bunch of stuff before I posted this  :D

Sorry I didn't read all of this, so apologies if this has been illiterated before but...

... in true 'Big Brother' demenour "at the end of the day" I will have to agree with Robbo...
unless the UK can come up with an equivalent Sergey Leontiev, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for the industry to pump that sort of money into a UK team unless it is a UK company...and therein lies the problem.
Tigers (been a top team for ages), Shock (same goes to them), Nexus (pretty new to the circle but have the right idea concerning making a well trained team out of talented players) and the Preds (who were great and retired as such at the top, have returned quietly but seeking the same routes as Nexus). Any or if all these teams need money and lots of to keep at the top no matter what league:rolleyes:

Come on Boys:D Those with powers give 'em some money!;)
