paintball is suposed to be fun, when you get to the stage when all u care about is winning then its kinda ****e. we all enjoy our projects face it, upgrading and buying quality gear is half of paintball. my team is starting to do very well in our division and i think its partially down to the fact we all play for fun and when we go out looking like a team in all our matching team tops and decent markers if gives us confidence and the will to win instead of lookin like a bunch a vagrents, it basically heightens team moral. and we can still talk about what we've won. last 2 tourney 2 trophys

That's cool- I hope you do well.

But the point of this thread was that people think they can become good by spending loads of money- I've acknowledged that good kit allows for people to fulfill their potential.

I still see paintball as fun- and at the end of the day, it is a game. But I want to win stuff- thats when I find it fun. Fancy kit is something I accept as being useful, but can't replace working on your game plan in other ways.
