To an extent...

You do need the right kit to be a good player, if your kit limits what you can do on the field it will be harder to progress. If you can only afford a nelspot pump for example, your not going to be able to develope new gun skills or realistically compete in the modern game...

Thats a very good point- maybe buying good kit allows people to play to their full potential.

yeh i'm in on that too

had a two year break from paintball, on my return bought an angel. found that the new reliability and speed of the marker gave me more confidence in the game than maybe i should of had.

now i've got an e-blade fantastic marker, accurate, fast i can't blame equipment for my failures.

the better marker gave me more confidence without worrying whether i was gonna chill down( old mag on co2) or chop a gazillion balls (angel) we're currently having quite a good time at tourneys at the mo and i place a fair portion of that on my marker.
