Bearing in mind that London supports Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Charlton and countless League sides in football, i am sure that the city name can be used by two or three paintball teams as well.

London Tigers (Already adopted)
London Nexus (Robbo wants it)
London whoever......:)

Are there any rules that specify that teams have to all have different city names? How would it be decided?
I don't see how the Tigers could have 'adopted' anything when it comes to choosing names for Xball and it seems stupid to me not to follow the American example and each team having different city names.
Nah, I like the name of London Nexus and if Ronnie had kept his big, ingorant, gob shut, I might have let them have it but nah, not now !

Nah, all of a sudden I feel kinda nostalgic toward good ole London town, I think Brighton Tigers has a certain ring to it, or maybe even PortsMOUTH Tigers :)

Hey Gareth, I might be persuaded to rethink my new found liking of things 'capital' if a certain person was to come on these boards and not only apologise for indulging in a bunch of horse sh!t lies but also to attribute all losses experienced by yourselves at the hands of Nexus to the better team winning instead of the cr@p I hear him spouting.
After all Gareth, it only seems reasonable to me that a person such as he finding it so easy to make up outright lies to all and sundry should find it just as easy to come on here and acknowledge the truth.
Till, that time mate, I will fight tooth and nail to have first pick on city names for our respective teams and as first ranked team I do believe we have the honour

Ahem. "Portsmouth" is already taken as a team name by us locals and we're very possessive . Sticking with the South-Coast theme I think PlyMOUTH is still up for grabs though :p ;)

They did Nick.

Pete whilst i have no doubt, and no problem recognising that Nexus were indeed the best team in the country last season, there is nothing that lists Nexus as such. The WPS ranking has Tigers ahead of Nexus on points, whilst i believe that ranking list to be grossly innacurate (Ducklings 21st!   ) that does not change the fact that Tigers are listed as the highest placed UK team. If there were to be disputes over adopted city names for teams, would they get first choice as a result of this?

In order to bypass such a situation arising, would it not be easiest for the MS board to announce a rule that teams must represent the city/area in which their training sessions are based in? As teams often have a centralised training ground which is a permanent site. Just an idea:)

By Nick Brockdorff:

"And who has confirmed it ?"

Nobody confirmed it, but IF Robbo (the most recent MS boarder speaker) says “it seems stupid to me not to follow the American example", and is already fighting for London…i put my litle money on it.

Cheers

Sam, and if you take the reffing points off, which they did to see who would qualify for the league, where are they then ?
