Nobody confirmed it, but IF Robbo (the most recent MS boarder speaker) says “it seems stupid to me not to follow the American example", and is already fighting for London…i put my litle money on it.

Cheers
Tuk, I ain't actually on the MS board mate and wouldn't wanna be .
I value my 'independant' thinking too much :)

Nick, as for anybody declaring anything prior to the creation and or organisation of the EXL, this is academic mate.
'Tigers' is kool but associated city names are used as prefixes for XBall premier league teams and as such have to be assumed at same time as creation of league.

I'm starting to get a bit of a foul taste in my mouth...

This whole thing, who are we trying to sell it to? European TV, English TV, what?
Because if you're trying to sell it on a European level, which it seems like with the name Eurosport being batted around, it's starting to get a bit lobsided, doesn't it?
If you want to sell it on a European level I would advocate having all 8 teams represent 8 different cities, from 8 different countries.
If we don't watch out, we'll e just like the NFL Europe, which has 6 teams, 3 of which are from Germany... European my ass...
So, how does Amsterdam Nexus sound? ;) :D

I agree 100% Bud, looks lop-sided to me too mate. I think the utilisation of the World rankings (which by Beard's own admission are a joke and riddled with anomalies) was a convenient and political mechanism.
But hey, this is paintball Jay :)

And as for Amsterdam Nexus, it does have a certain ring to it I agree but I am getting to like London more by the day :)

I can't see why you could not participate as "London Nexus" and "London Tigers". If that is indeed your respective hometowns.

As far as I can understand, if Manchester United and Manchester City can co-exist in football, why couldn't the same thing be done in paintball.

DMZ, London is no more the home town of the Tigers than the White House is for the Queen of England.
This is a point of principle here as I see it and with no duplicate city names Stateside, it would seem folly to adopt such a confusing state of affairs this side of the water.
I was born and live in London so that's more than enough excuse for me to want the capital tag :)

:D ;) :p

Nick
Come, come, now Nick, I thought I had made it abundantly clear that any club name (Tigers, Nexus, etc) was kool but any prefixed city names prior to XBall would prove academic.
Therefore, Copenhagen Nexus is not acceptable whereas Timbuktoo Ducks is :)
Have a great Xmas Nick :)

fight for the right...

I do believe that the Tigers are the higher ranked UK team, both in the WPS and Millennium Series, and since they've already announced their name change, in PGI no less, i do believe they have legitimatly staked their claim to being a London Club.

However in Nexus challenged them, best two of three 7 man Millennium Rules for the name, they'd have to accept and defend their honor... ;)

I do believe that the EXL teams should be taking on City names NXL style.
