As far as I know, there will be a limited XBall league that will not include every pro team in Europe.
That said, this leaves the rest of the pros to contest in the normal 7 man pro division.
You can all start picking the bones outa that one :)

As for what some of the top Euro pro teams are gonna do ?
Well, whether the success or failure of any proposed European XBall league is gonna be affected by the omission of say the top 4 teams is open to debate.
I'll be speaking to Sergey tomorrow to find out if he is gonna bother with this but as far as I know he was gonna play Div 1 Stateside, NPPL and some Millenniums.
Magued and Joy, like me are skeptical about certain issues that have been promised and believe maybe too much is being risked by us purely on the basis of a few proposals, albeit well meaning ones, but as of yet exhibiting little substance.
Laurent and Ton Tons have their own decisions to make !
I know my decision is gonna be affected by who stays and who plays, it remains to be seen what really is on offer in terms of prize money etc. and how this effects the decisions of some its proposed participants.

Oi, don't you just love it when people come to this board to tell they know something but won't tell you. Spill the beans, please! :)

Sheese, I've been busy lately and have a lot to catch up in regards to Euro ball.

Good point Si, I was however asked to keep my gob firmly taped up until all the details had been fleshed out and let's face it mate, it's a Millennium decision and therefore should be a Millennium announcement.
From what I know, I think Niall, Steve and Laurent with more than just a little help from Richmond have come up with a package that upholds the interests of European Paintball.

These are turbulent times in paintball with conflicting interests erupting all over the place, there are no absolutes or certainties in this game, I think the Millennium guys have steered the road they need to steer at this time.
And to quote from Lord of the Rings, 'The board is set and the pieces are now moving'.
2004 is gonna be an interesting game :)
Have a great Xmas Si.

Just saw this in Estratego's website.

... roughly translates to:
MS will include a X-ball format with City named Teams.
PRO European players will be able to play in this X-ball or in Premiere League (or in both).
It will be called EXL, and it will be constituted by 12 teams.
The best 4 teams, will play against the best 4 NXL teams.
...
And the rest is Tomahawk publicity

Cheers
Jaime

Just briefly scanned through the last five or so pages........

My 2 cents. If its not broken dont fix, but that doesnt seem to be the case here.

It WONT WORK having two different formats with promotion/demotion at the end of the season. Who ever thought of this idea is crazier than me.

U dont have Division 1 football playing 7 a-side and then when they get promoted to the premiership playing with 11 men!

a 7 man Super league would be pimp! It would be like the premiership. U'd have big 'grudge' matches or smaller teams playing against bigger teams.

X-ball is boring to watch, too time consuming and ..........just generally not as good as 7-man

I personaly would like to see 7even man.

Thats my 2 cents.

Ps. Paintball is like war. Its all political and all about money.
