The reason you hadn't heard of much going on with the Pro league had nothing to do with other leagues and everything to do with the fact nobody's doing much with it.
Thanks Robbo at least someone in the know has finally said something as we have been waiting to see what the pro tour was doing as it was to affect our decision of what domestic league to enter.

Now if its not going ahead and the millenium in the next few years at the top will change to 5 man then its better for us to start playing and training at 5man instead of 7man.

If the mill.board (and everyone else) is convinced X-Ball/Lite/5-man is the right format, why not just let the div 1 teams play it too?

Im sure most (if not all) teams will afford the M7 paint consumption. People wanna play paintball the right way.. and players always find a way to afford playing.

If this is the format of the future, forget the "this is a test-year for the Pro's". Let the up'n coming euro kids play it too. Think about the future of euro ball.. M7 for the CPL only is a setback for a huge talent pool (not only thinking of mill. div 1, but also the feeder leagues).

If the mill series allow the div 1 teams the opportunity to play the new format because of the argument that they would be at a disadvantage when it comes to moving up to the cpl, then this should be applied to div 2 to allow them the same opportunity.

I've been told that it was looking very likely for the Pro Tour to go ahead but that it's just awaiting sponsorship confirmation, which will hopefully be sorted this week.

Exactly, whats the point? Might push some to overshoot all the time just to make the other team late....

Anyway its no use debating these issues......

No, the reason is that they want to limit the number of players a team need to bring to an event. Now you are alowed to bring nine (which is something us the pro teams came up with due to the risk of injuries) but you are limited to 7 in each match, with 5 on the field in each game. The Mill wants this to become the new big format and therefore it needs to be a format that every 7-man team out there can play. They want it to sperad to all small leagues everywhere, and that would be impossible if you had a format that allowed 15 players. I like the idea and this is definitely a great step for Euro paintball.

Ronnie, there is a 3 minute break in between the games this year, with a possibility of changing it to 2 minutes next year if we see that we can do it...
