It would be nonsensical to run with more than 8 - there's a pleasing symmetry between the EXL and the NXL with both running at 8.

I'm leaving that one alone - too many teams want it, for me to say who I think should get it publicly ;)

Storm, Worms, Enemy (has everyone forgotten about them ?), Camp Tigers, Powertrip, Cyclone, Hellwood, Solid (former NBK), etc.

But - why don't you do the calculations, and see if it works out ?

i understand your wish not to stick your neck on the line! ;)

1. After all, if they just selected who they thought were the best reps of European Paintball ignoring all ranking systems, they would have been accused of this, that and whatever by the teams left out.

2. By using the World ranking points system, they were able to defer some responsibility to that.
They could have used European rankings but what's the point if you are trying to put together a league of the best in Europe and some Euro teams are playing Stateside.

3. Magued, Sergey and myself all wanted to play in a serious league that would help Euro Paintball flourish along similar lines to that of the Americans because whether we like it or not, International Paintball is unfolding along very American lines and if us Euros wanna be up there with them, some sacrifices and difficult decisions have to be made.
If Sergey, Magued, myself and also Laurent, didn't think the league was set up properly, we wouldn’t even consider playing in it.

1. And the difference now is what?

2. They made a choise to do that.... And not support european paintballs own league....
But again, why not use the european ranking for a european league.... (how many european teams played in the states instead of europe last season??)

Skip the U.S teams and make room for more european teams...

3. Ok. didn´t the millennium series and Laurent shape this kind of paintball (not x-ball but sup´air and nice, well run tourneys), and they are euros right?

Nick, I understand that - the distinction is that the EXL is made up of 8 teams, like the NXL. The two guest teams may be participating in a tournament, but they are not EXL teams, are they?
