If we are to put an Xball league together that comprises the best teams then I would go along with Magnus's first post.
I honestly think he has hit the nail right on the head with that lot.
From what I know, the Millennium, rightly or wrongly, had to reference one ranking system or another.
After all, if they just selected who they thought were the best reps of European Paintball ignoring all ranking systems, they would have been accused of this, that and whatever by the teams left out.
By using the World ranking points system, they were able to defer some responsibility to that.
They could have used European rankings but what's the point if you are trying to put together a league of the best in Europe and some Euro teams are playing Stateside.
Now, alternatively, we can construct a league where perhaps the best of Europe doesn't have to be represented in which case, I am sure Storm and many others would easily qualify but what the hells the point in that.
Let's put Crewe Alexander, Hull and Rotherham in the Premier and showcase that as Brit Football...we'd be a laughing stock..and rightly so.
Magued, Sergey and myself all wanted to play in a serious league that would help Euro Paintball flourish along similar lines to that of the Americans because whether we like it or not, International Paintball is unfolding along very American lines and if us Euros wanna be up there with them, some sacrifices and difficult decisions have to be made.
If Sergey, Magued, myself and also Laurent, didn't think the league was set up properly, we wouldn’t even consider playing in it.
Some small minded people may think that's good, but hey, I really don't give a sh!t.
