Not really, because the EXL teams have been chosen on results last season, not who got points for judging. All the teams have had points for judging removed. Stands to reason:)

What i meant was that when a team wins the series with reefing points it´s ok... And then they don´t use it to say who the top teams are now?!? see what i mean buddy?

Cheers

No it's not a double standard, it's called using your brains to get what you want and in this case, it's the best playing teams not teams who have judged.

Hi Pete,

'the king returns' superb film!!!!

One from each country?

The EXL is a showcase to the best europe has to offer. If England is lucky enough to have three of the best teams in europe, therefore three in the top eight then thats great news. But they shouldn't be cut to make room for teams from other countries who don't have the ranking, financial backing, sponsorship or infrastructure to compete with the likes of us, you, legion, ton-ton and joy. Not to mention they have to be up and running in time for the 2004 season.
Hey Gareth, in advocating the representation of different countries in the EXL, I realize it compromises the ethos of having the best teams, but not much.
At the moment we aren't really doing that anyway, so why not go all the way to having a diverse and fair representation of European counties.
After all, if we are already compromising the said ethos by adopting a world ranking system to determine who goes through then we can't really criticise another being suggested that does the same as the one we are already using :)
But Gareth, rest easy mate, it ain't gonna happen, not all the time Baldrick's invovled :)

Magnus, what position would you have had to get at Campaign before you would have been placed higher than Shockwave in the World Rankings???

So you agree that it´s ok to use the points to choose a winner of the series, but not to the fact that it´s also fare to use the same points to choose the 8 best teams to play in that serie next year?!?

hmmmm... i´m trying to use my brain now hmmmm.....
