Wow, congratulations, you hit upon another huge point of what is wrong with the way your infrastructure is set up: public versus private. Do you think that the transportation sectors and the like will simply disappear from lack of government funding if you need them? No! If people want something, they pay for it. Railways, airlines, schools, etc. all come from one of two sources, either the government pays for it or individuals pay for them. I seriously doubt that anyone wants to do without buses, tube transport, and the like. The only thing that would change at all in the long run is who collects the money. It's a heck of a lot better to have something made to order rather than handed to you to be taken as it is. The British have too much pride in themselves and their country to let it fall apart if big mommy government isn't there to hold their hands while doing it...hell no! You people conquered the globe, made English the world's language, have the strongest currency in existance, the entire free world's law systems modeled after yours, the majority of literature studied in modern classrooms, responsible for the birth of the study of economics and physics, etc. and yet you insult your own culture as much to say that you have to have things mandated by law for you to so much as wipe your own noses? Please. If I have more respect for you than that, certainly you should. If such respect isn't warranted, start beating each other over the head with cane switches until you're back in shape again. Then learn how to play some decent paintball on par with us.
