Sorry Cro don't agree, if someone did that **** to me I'd make damn sure everyone knew the agenda.
I have no beef with Hatts (up till this thread) and though I don't always agree with everything pete says I like and respect him.
People complain about the way they are portrayed and the **** that gets flung but then stunts like this are pulled....
Thing that I really don't understand is this 'stunt' looks like it's totally backfired, sure the thread has a **** load of views but what exactly are people going to remember about this thread? Not what the original poster intended I'm sure!
Even writing this I feel like I'm being 'played' in some way or another and I'm a nobody....

I never said you had defended hatts, I pointed out you had chosen to pick on me when he was the person who begun all this cr@p..hardly a fair way to deal with things but hey, you have had a problem with me for sometime so it comes as no surprise.
But the next point I will take issue with is this :-

Russell, called me up to explain why the initial post was put up, I never bullied him to call me, he did it off his own back to try and put the record straight and make sure he wasn't getting tarred with hatts's brush.

That said, he then asked me to keep what he told me to myself and herein lies the problem cro, and it is a problem that even you may begin to appreciate:- I was being told on one hand that hatts had deliberately baited me for his own ends but on the other, I was being asked to uphold the sanctity of hatts's misdeeds whilst at the very same time he was attacking me for my reaction (which he had initiated).

Now cro, doesn't that smack of lunacy to you?
Is it not a little unjust?
You expect me to keep quiet to protect hatts???

There was a moral obligation by Russell to come clean if he wanted the truth to surface in this thread because up until then, it just seemed like another Robbo confrontation (which of course it wasn't, it was manipulated).

cro, I have said, and others have now said it, if you don't like it here, go somewhere else or just ignore it.
We've got 10,000 peeps who come on here on and off, I really don't think I am gonna suffer from uncontrolable bouts of insomnia if you crawl back to your little hole.

Without wanting this disappointing thread to go on much longer I would at least like to give Hatts the benefit of the doubt.

Robbo - do you actually know that Hatts put the post up for that reason? In that he was deliberately being antagonistic? Have you heard that from the horses mouth? Or is it just Russell saying why Hatts did it?

I don't really know any of the parties involved in this (Robbo, Hatts, Russell), apart from brief hello's and what I read here and on the PA boards. However, whilst people may disagree with or dislike Hatts, so far, whatever he said he was going to do (UK league wise etc) he has done. And I'm a firm believer that a character is revealed not by what they say but what they do.

However, if Hatts really did put the post up with that intention (to deliberately wind Robbo up) then I think that is a real shame and disappointment.

In balance though I am sure I am not alone in feeling a little disappointed in some of Robbo's posts as I feel they are a little like kicking someone in the head when they are already unconscious (the PAthetic league and PAthetic websitre etc). Reason being I've always felt that "...if you are ferocious in battle remember to be magnanimous in victory" (Tim Collins)

I'm not picking on you, the original thead topic has been dealt with and I felt some parts were taken a bit to far by yourself. I don't have a problem with you, never have so I don't know what you are going on about. I agree that something needed to be done about the original post but my point is that I think it could have been done in a better way. I'm not getting involved in the name calling you enjoy so much, and to be honest I am obviously wasting my time here so I'm done with this thread. I come on here as I like to read about what's going on in all areas of the sport, giving it the big we've got 10,000 members and I'm not going to lose sleep....blah, blah, blah, well that's just more ego talk. If you want to take this personally Robbo then please feel free to do so, I on the other hand will not.

Yeh rite he’s gonna mug himself off like that…I don’t think so.

And so, on the balance of evidence, I think I will rely on Russell’s testimony here in that he had no reason to call me up and tell me anything and if you had read that post where I highlighted hatt’s first few lines of his second post, it is wholly consistent with what Russell told me, go read it Ben.
The subject of winding me up for his own ends was discussed with hatts by Russell prior to it being posted, so I fail to see the problem here.

If you wanna give hatts the benefit of the doubt with what has been written here then you must have been on OJ's jury.

The only other options you have are, to either disbelieve me, in which case, go check with Russell or you can disbelieve Russell, in which case you ain’t gonna get no hands up from hatts on this one, I mean, he ain’t really likely to admit it now is he, no more than most people do when they are caught out in this fashion.

And you can be disappointed all you like Ben in the way I dealt with him but I never chose this argument, and the need for being ‘magnanimous’ as you put it was put on the back burner for one reason and one reason only, he just didn’t deserve it.
I will go back to that dormant firework metaphor, he knew full well what I would do and how I would react…….it’s no good bitching afterwards, I don’t mean you here Ben.

The problem here is simple. IMHO

People at the minute think it is fine to do what they want to gain what they want and are not bothered what harm they are doing to the sport in the proccess. I know all the people above about the same, and have no affiliation with any of them.

What I do know is Robbo, actually gives a **** about this sport and if he over reacts it is because people are damaging the sport. Paintball will not grow in the UK unless this stops.

Anyone with half a brain can see that this thread was started with the intent of causing dispute and winding Robbo up just to gain some attention, Sit back and think about this properly, When fools are doing this and think it is fine to do this causing disputes within our sport (ours as in the players) for their own means then it is damn right they should be banged to rights.

I pretty much lose interest when the name calling starts.. I spend enough time working with 14 year olds.

I still don't see why the original post got such a vehement response, if it was innacurate (I just think the wording is 'promotional') then deleting it and asking for a rewrite seems more likely to protect ballers from reading bullsh!t than going for public humiliation. (Which is also an exageration, the public being the same list of people who jump into anything involving the PA with both feet...... as I've said before, most players don't give a toss).
As for the actual 'point' before the name calling started.... yup, the wording was potentialy misleading to someone who didn't know anything about UK paintball, I'd have asked him to change it in case some random web surfers were given the wrong impression about who is the best paintball team in the UK. (As anyone who knew anything about paintball or in fact cared either way, would recognise a bit of hype and not lose any sleep over it).
Was the post an intentional attempt to upset someone? No idea, (sounds more like someone trying to defuse a situation to be honest) it's the same as the one on other sites though.. impressive if it was though, the toys flew so far out of the pram, some of them won't be found for weeks. I don't think you're that easily manipulated, nor do I think the other party would go to all that trouble to upset one person.
Anyway, we are trying to be a sport, we need hype, this thread has generated more interest than a polite 'did you know' ever would. Maybe he does know what he's doing then? Bear in mind that if someone clicks on this thread, the first thing they get is the announcement, if they don't know UK paintball, then that's pretty much as far as they'll get.

Dude, that's the problem we have got, people think they are "NOBODY" and what can one person change!

If we don't spend our money at the paintball stores, the events, the walk ons...name it. How long do you think it will take till the realize that:

WE HAVE GOT THE POWER.

Nothing will change until we as the players manage to start pushing things in the right directions.

I deal with many people on a daily basis. Most of them who not dare to say stuff they tell me to the person they complain about. WHY? Got a problem, ffs, tell the person, company that pi$$ed you off.

Robbo has done so and stands for what he believes, in my books that counts for a lot.

Hatts, never had anything against you as you know, but I must admit I would have loved to see some more constructive posts from you on here and faced Robbo.
