You have to give yourself some credit with your pulling power Pete.
Either way it was good for forum traffic, the PA had a great event, the Manchester Union won the only National series in the UK and became the UK Champions.
So all is fine.

All is not fine Russ, since you have now mentioned this, I am not now breaking any confidences but I think something has to be made perfectly clear for the people reading this thread.

You told me that hatts deliberately set out to antagonize me with that post and worded it accordingly and the resultant argument (as he saw it) would then provoke interest in his PA League.

It's a bit like lighting a firework that's sitting there doing nobody any harm and then sitting back and criticisng it coz it went bang !!
And then going on to use that reaction for his own ends.

You also told me you tried to advise him from this course but he didn’t listen and chose quite deliberately to provoke me so he could then go on to exploit the situation and if you look at the first few lines of his second post in this thread, it pretty much backs up what you told me.

Yup, because I don't like it when the whole inter-forum crap starts. So I stopped it, the thread was on here, no need to restart it elsewhere.
What's your point? An abuse would have been to let it an argument run somewhere where the moderators had a vested interest with one of the parties..... I won't let that happen.
Robbo wouldn't have gone on there to refute anything that was said.....so why allow it to run? It's here, where it belongs. No conspiracies, just that three of the mods from there had posted here....so how could the discussion be fair?

Still missing the point...... I closed it because it had no place there and anything posted would have just fueled the fire here (just like you are doing now.... their forum etc...) So I canned it, it would have been pointless. This started here and should finish here... why allow it to spread somewhere that one of those involved wouldn't have bothered with? Did you actually read the posts? A couple of posters said someone needed to chill, I stopped the thread before it became a pointless exercise in sh!t flinging..... why? Because here you've got a cross section of paintball, fine, I'll argue, there, you've pretty much got a large selection of players who've already decided what side they are on and which tourney they prefer. So, it was never going to be a fair discussion on there was it?
Anyway, I think you'll find that 'the majority of ballers' have no interest either way in the argument or either of those who started it..... which is probably the real reason why UK paintball is the fragmented mess it is today.
