Much respect Pete...sorting things out and getting everyone under the same roof has to be the most productive thing for UK paintball in a long time. :)

The problem is.....

Everyone seems to know they were ramping velocity and bps. But very little seems to have been done about it. And it seems to me, they know they can get away with it!
Until the organisers of events have the b***s to stand up to them and ban them from the series, teams like this will continue to cheat.
If a team cheats this bad, ban them from the entire series. Eventually no series will have them playing in it.
With the adverse press and disregard for safty these teams are responsable for, would it really be such a great loss?

Matski, in fact although we had pretty much all been talking, the major initiative came from them so I'm afraid I cannot take any credit for that....

He had on him a swab with small piece of an allen key on the end, hidden by the fluff. Walking onto the field after chronoing he pulled it out and turned up his maxflow reg to increase the FPS....

Now if TonTon players feel they have to do that in local tournies to win, then I'm worried what the hell they do in Millennium events.

I wasn't at Campaign, but what you guys have said about their games doesn't really suprise me...
screw that if he cant do the time he should do the crime...name and shame.

in a sport such as paintball is safety something we can afford to compromise? would you like to get shot with a marker running hot? i know i for one would refuse to go on field with him on it! hell if i saw my own team captain dialing his marker i would not walk on the field with him.

i wasnt at campaign unfortunatly but gun cheating is one thing that REALLY gets on my tits and the event organisers (at all events not just this one) surely are required to make sure that the rules are upheld.....what happens if someone looses an eye....do they think that their insurance will care who adjusted the marker or who wasnt backing the rules?

as for players that feel they need to ramp pbs and or fps.....are you a good player????? yeah???? so why cheat? your nothing if you cant win on your own skill..... will you stop cheating when your ramped marker shoots thru someones mask and blinds them??? grow up or piss off!

my 2p :)

Re: The problem is.....

Every Millennium promoter has very close connections with one or more teams. Besides, I heard that he is moving away from any direct association with them because of lack of time and concern about perceptions. IMO Laurent is far above using his influence in that kind of way; he is far too interested in promoting paintball as a sport.

Concerning the ramping velocity thing, I heard him express a general concern over a year ago about the increasing use of that kind of cheating, and he should know what's going on. In fact he specifically looked into ways to get that under better control.

I honestly don't think Laurent is the culprit here.

POST EDIT on request.

Boo Hiss Boo Ton Ton...

 There are plenty of Monty Python French jokes I can pile on this thread ... but with respect to the fair playing french ballers I will refrain;)

I guess that 1 minute game with no losses went a good ways in repairing the relationship?
Nick ... I guess the above might have a small influence on the UK Pro teams alliance BUT taking the French hits in unity might count too.;)

Big respect to the Jamie's of both Nexus and Tigers (Mr. Abbott & Mr. Luck) for taking a hard mug drilling from the ever so 'full auto' guns of the Ton Ton. NOW TAKE YOUR REVENGE BOYZ IN SAN DIAGO!!!:D  :p

Much Love

Got an echo from the German grape vine and this is how it went. I can't confirm as I wasn't there: I heard that a German team was DQd following their game against the Tontons. Conxion whose back center player got mugged and bonus balled so hard that he was basically out cold. At that point the ConXion dead box emptied out and they started dukeing it out. :D When the ultimate said he had to ban 2 of the Conxion players the captain said that if he was going to ban his players he could ban the whole team.... so that was it for Conxion......
