All I will say on the matter of our game between the Ton Tons is this; I would like a replay whereby both teams are using legal markers this time , and also, one of my players (Jamie) could get to the end of the game without being shot multiple times in the head and back (even though he was signaling he was out by placing his hand on his head) and he will bear the marks of that low life, scum bag, cowardly assault for a long time yet.
This team had to my knowledge at this one tournament, 3 players suspended, two for violent acts of over-shooting and one for an illegal marker mode, he was running PSP mode.
I also got told over the weekend, from a respectable and extremely good source (and all you guys know I do not bull****) that a request was made by the Ton Tons to have ramping velocity boards fitted to their markers, the request was subsequently denied by this particular person……..whether they were successful in their quest may be indicated by some of the welts my guys took when playing them.
All this I think is a general indicator as to how this team view the rules of the game because if they stoop this low with regards to their markers and general rules of on-field behaviour, then playing on and wiping would become second nature, only an inference I know, and not hard evidence but if I had to bet, I’d bet my frikkin house on it.
I’m not saying we would beat them if my two requirements for a replay were upheld, but I would like to think we would have likely been in the finals but hey, who knows.
This is not a ‘French’ thing, this is a ‘bunch of cheating *******s’ thing, any nationality who does **** like this should be aimed outa paintball faster than a five pound note being stuffed into Niall Squires’s pocket.
On another note, a few bridges were rebuilt over this weekend, not only for me personally but also for the team.
The long standing feud and bad feeling between the Tigers and Nexus has truly been dead and buried.
The guys on both teams spent a fair bit of time together and I think all either of us ever wanted from the other was respect.
We both decided that from now on, we would, when at tourneys, stage together like the Americans sometimes do when they are abroad.
Far too much BS and acrimony had been allowed to fester on both sides of this problem and I honestly think we are entering a new era for Brit paintball because if Tigers, Shock and Nexus can truly get on together, then we can develop that much faster.
We (Brits) got all 3 of our pro teams into the Sunday Club, just as we have 3 in the NPPL, this says a lot, we need to get consistency and one of the ways to achieve that is by high class dog-balling against each other, this is now possible for all 3 of us.
And one last note, and this is directed to some people, they know who they are; a sincere and genuine thank-you, it will not be forgotten !!!!!………….….
