I rephrase................ 'but the likes of his opinion is akin to the piles of rocking horse **** that cover the world of Paintball'

:)

Phew, got my job back?

No idea why not, it is allegdegly something to do with the marker not being able to be influenced by the electronics in a particualr way, I have been told by Ledz and others that velocity ramping on EBladed Cockers isn't possible.

I do concede Duffitusta (my boss at PGi) would have a problem yes, and he has gone on record in stating that if my guys ever did use them, PGi would take away our sponsorship but the likes of him are akin to the piles of rocking horse **** that cover the world of Paintball.

I wish there were more of him within the industry and not just those who pay lip service to any moral stances.
1. OH, OK. I thought you could, but it was harder with Cockers. Whatever...

2. You miss my point duder. I think I could get maybe 10, maybe more of Tha 18 captains to swear on their kids' lives that they don't use gun cheats. And you'd have to believe em, even if you didn't, if you catch my drift.

Seriously, someone needs to turn tha music off and stop tha dance - enforcable rules and tha will to enforce them. Everything else goes by tha wayside, that is priority numero uno, and y'all should be focussing every effort on achieving it.

Craigy makes a good point...as someone famous and high fallutin' once said, 'If not now, when? If not you, who?'

No I don't sorry, I must be suffering from brain lag this early in the morning, are you saying that those 10 captains are lying and only saying 'on their kid's lives' just to try and make the other person believe their answer?????

Nope, I'm saying that it's all immaterial - you swore on your kids lives, this Frank guy just shrugs. You 'know' NPPL pro teams have got cheat guns, but what happens if they all swear they don't?

What I'm saying is that, sad though it may be, it isn't - and shouldn't be - down to a captain's word.

I ain’t for one second saying I am any better than anybody else here, in fact, most people probably think I am a dick in doing this and for the most part they are probably right because I am hamstringing my guys every time we play in the NPPL but for the life of me, I can’t seem to capitulate even though there is not one person out there who could criticize me for me doing so.
...
I say, send your boyz out with cheat markers.(but not velocity)
Not one person would or could critisize you in the NPPL.

Thats the impression i got when reading the post. To be honest i agree with Teej though, swearing on the lives of others means different things to different people, some more honest than others.

"Moral high ground" is a moot point in paintball Pete - you know that.

Back in the day Sergey refused to let his players play on - because of a high sense of morale - but at some point he got tired of loosing because teams cheated against them - and changed the policy.

I would argue that he is the only Pro captain in the history of paintball to hold any moral high ground.... the rest of us - yourself included - just allow various shades of cheating, be that playing on, wiping, ROF ramping or velocity ramping.

Now, I fully agre that velocity ramping is a particular nasty kind of cheating, as it is dangerous as well as immoral.... but to some people it might appear to be just another shade of grey..... especially when taking into consideration that velocity ramping is only a 141 offence according to the rules of our game.

I am NOT advocating you allow cheatmodes in the Nexus guns in the future (and I am fairly sure you will not, which I applaud) - I'm only commenting on the issue of morality in our game ;)

Bollocks. The Turks and The Sharks had absolutely solid moral codes - if a player broke them they were gone, end of story.

Also, who says velocity ramping is necessarily more dangerous than speed ramping to 25BPS?
