Yep, fact is we don't yet know! (or unknown as you state). I Mean if BE own the Patent on all Semi Auto Paintball or Pellet firing marker's, how's this any different????. I think it highly premeture to talk boycott when we only have the comments of SP's rivals. I seem to remeber something form my schooldays about biased secondary sources, so can't we wait for some facts. Please.

Lets be honest with ourselves, most ballers are convinced that the Marker they personnally shoot is the best thing on the planet, and all others should be consigned to the dustbin; so I'll take their "impartiality" with a pinch of salt.

I mean Nasa are concerned we're gonna get hit by a big planet killing meteor one day, don't think I'll lose any sleep over it myself.

If SP are planning a marker tax or royalties, hey I personnaly apologise and shoot a non-electro cocker (just ask my teammates how painfull that'll be for me); until then I think somepeople are scaremongering.

Tuppence worth.

Hee... I agree - until I hear otherwise, I'll keep my impy and my lovely new shocker... and probably still get a nerve if it ever sees the light of day (ok, let's face it, it'll probably only come out with the injection of cash obtained from this royalty suit...:D)

its been going on for years, hell my original shocker has an intel inside sticker on it. its all an illuminati conspiracy so that all markers will have to dial home to bill once a week, they then upload details of your paint bill and how many times a week you ****.

and cockers linux is actualy easier to use than windows unless you only wanna use windows in the way bill intended

question is will this affect marker parts,ie a electric frame is not a marker,a marker body is not a working marker,i,m sure you know where i'm going with this;)
even if it does happen most people i know will boycot sp,second hand prices will rise, after market shops will grow, and smart parts will have shot themselves in the foot:D

Surely if the patent is unenforcable due to prior art, then that's the end of it? I know the US Patent office don't ever actually read anything they put the official stamp on, but if it takes the patent lawyers more than 5 minutes to convince a judge that the prior art cited in the patent application itself proves that smart parts didn't invent ****, then they must be pretty lousy at their jobs indeed.

PS: what's the difference between a lawyer and a flatfish?

Answer: one is a slimy, mud-sucking bottom dweller and the other is a fish.
