There used to be alot more coverage of UK tourneys than there is now, fact.
So what it boils down to is back when PGI needed the money from their UK readers they covered UK tourneys, but now we are only x% of PGIs income we can read all about Yank teams, or go **** a dog....................................cheers guys

It's clear John that you don't understand the business model that has been placed in front of you. That's ok, we cater for all ages, so one more time for the guys at the back...

There are only 500-700 tourney players in the UK, this is less than 0.0000001% of our readers. If we covered more uk tourneys we'd lose sales and ad rev and we'd close.

There's a school of thought that says if we closed, so would tourny paintball in the uk.

i'm a newbie so please don't shoot me.........

just got back into paintball, subscribed to the mag, really enjoying it and paintball again, joined a team and have 1 question about the replies to this thread.

I'm based in scotland have played no tourny paintball at all yet i have avidly read all the articles on tourny's in the mag as well as all the other articles. Can i ask why u assume that because tourny players in britain are .0000001% of your subscription/readership base the assumption is that the other 99.9999999% wouldn't be interested in the UK? (or australi or russia or poland etc etc )

I never said cut out any of the big tourney content, why not make the mag bigger, that way it will look like theres less adverts.
I read the mag cover to cover in the first lecture i take it to anyway. I dont mind reading about how 'Les Poission Fromage' won a local French tourney held in Brest, i would just like to see UK coverage once in a while.
Anyway it seems sorted now.



PS Sid if you are getting your pic in the mag will you be sporting traditional highland dress. No, not a kilt, i mean a string vest and a four pack of Tennants super.

PPS if i write an article about what i had for dinner will it be published.?

As I said in a previous thread me thinks, an UNBIASED tournament review....paint it tartan....eh NO.....paint it HIGHLANDER..Cameronians at that time were playing well, big time in Scotland prior to some fkn muppet getting it banned and making us wait like 6 years before coming back to the tournament scene, well, Highlander are no more, although I have heard that Evolution, Wide Mouthed Frogs and Highlander all played at Drymen just outside Glasgow a couple of months ago, although it was a pump day...still, hopefully it will make some of them get the bug again. I just want to see paintball back in this Country mate to be honest, I'm sure you understand...still not getting my photo

So....did Gary give good knee sitting sessions then??

Oh had the Middleton twins out a while back, with mags thinking they were superstars....hhmmm good players.....but the sport has moved on SO much.
