Simple rule dude

Argue with whoever you want...you think someone's talking **** then it don't matter who it is, fight your corner - but do it properly by arguing the point with em.

Like Pipes sez, telling someone to **** off ain't an argument, and it ain't got no place here.

Normal service resumed.

Back on topic...

And as someone who spent his fair share of time in tha woods, the skill sets are different in certain ways, but as Cow sez, players are more athletic and technique is light years ahead...this is partly due to the sport's longevity but more to do with tha pressurecooker environment of concept fields.

Interesting that after all LJ has done, winning XBall with Team USA, Tolouse with Bobby etc., his greatest memory is still of a woodland move.

Ya know it seems ironic to me that if I were a boxer, and over the years, my opponents hit harder and threw more punches, that most intelligent observers of boxing would realise that my skill levels would have to adapt and improve for me to stay in the game.

So why is it...... ?

Go figure :)

Would that be the sporting equivalent of Darwinism you're referring to there Robbo?

On a personal note I don't believe that the players today are more or less skilled than in years gone by, they are merely differently skilled.

As the years have gone on and the game has changed players have had to adapt their game to meet the environment, true some skills will always ring true, being able to shoot straight and communicate but you have to change your game to the field or you are doomed in a Darwin type way.

as to the speed thing, how many times have we heard this? I've ben playing since 1989 and I've heard it for....

splatmasters to pumps
pumps to pumps with slamfire
pumps with tubes to pumps with hoppers
slamfire to semi
semi to electro

I dare say I'll hear it again and again:(

Next they'll be saying the only reason some teams win is because they are richer/have better sponsorship and can afford to shoot more paint:rolleyes:

Tough one for me as I didn't even know about paintball till a couple of years ago but I'll take a stab.
Dynasty 2003, why? because of the way they approach the game and their outlook on it. I also believe they'd be able to apply the skills they have developed on an airball field to the woods.
