How do you mean double standards BTW? I know I'm stupid but I'm not 100% on what you meant

Well, in boxing, it would be assumed that a greater degree of skill would be needed to contend with opponents who were throwing more accurate and more frequent punches and yet in Paintball, some people seem unable to acknowledge that a simliar leap in skill levels is also required to contend in the modern game.
I hope this explains it :)

I'm just gonna answer the original question!!

If you gave Dynasty Inferno's (No offense to people hu use 'em) and a newly developed Amateur team Angel's ....

Who would win?

I think it's more strategy than the speed of your gun or skill!!!!

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
new boys vs old school

How many players in a '94 world cup team?

If Dynasty had 7 and the others had 10 or 15, well there's only so much that skill and firepower could overcome!!:D

There is a difference in skillsets between woods and airball, at least in my limited experience. Playing a walk-on at my local field any game is a 50/50, even if I am accompanied by 8 or 10 of my tournament team.

Put the same opposition on the sites indoor sup'air and things are different. Playing 4 man indoor we win every game, no problem. Last time playing indoor the only games we dropped were against Storm who were there for a practise, and we even took a few from them!

OK, let's take this one step further, the setting, World Cup 94- Woodland Game- We have the finals consisting of Aftershock of 94, the Ironmen of 94 and the All Americans of 94 and Dynasty of 2003 , who wins ?
I have my views, what about ures ?

Everyone's scared of answering in case they get it 'wrong' and you tell em to **** off.

We're talking Sterlings here right? Well, in which case Dynasty'd get hammered coming forward.

Skills/experience aside, I'd have to say that the '94 era teams would whup Dynasty...those blue jerseys with all that white lettering would just stand out and say 'SHOOT ME!' in the woods. ;) :D

Which brings me to the whole camo/non-camo thing...PC/image crap aside, I don't see why some people are so anti-camo. From a practical point of view, camo is better than jerseys/pants from manufacturer X, Y, or Z. Having a colorful outfit on the hyper/speed/airball field doesn't give you any advantage over camos. Whereas being colorful in the woods is a huge disadvantage. Some guy in a yellow jersey trying to hide in the woods doesn't usually work out too well. At least for him. Makes it a wee bit easier for me to see him. :p

Okay. I'm done. :)

Critical issues are vision and reading a woods field. That would negate Dynasty's skill and mobility advantages so the winner has to be--since it's WC--Aftershock (unless '94 was the year Men were winning pretty much everything. I just don't remember. Damned Alzheimer's)

PS--it wouldn't take Dynasty long however to figure things out and then it's all over.

Skill or speed?

when u talk bout players do you say "he/she is speedy" or "he/she is skilled". Although usually u talk bout skill i do think that there is a varying degree of speed needed, in markers and the player.if ur some gigantic beer belly who plays, and you have to move, (apart from being the biggest barricade on the field) you aint gonna have the speed. so you gonna get lit up. but skill is also needed, to be able to sit 6ft away from a barricade and still be able to utilise the cover.

i think that skill and speed are both equally important, but thats just my thoughts
