when is it going to end?? full auto markers at 60/70 bps in a few years... ?? i know there has to be a ceiling on how fast they can actually cycle / feed but whats the point? .. no-one will be able to move .. if you dont want a game where everyone is hiding for the full time then there will have to be some sort of limit set... especially if we want it exciting enough to be broadcasted!

They said tha same when semis replaced pumps, and when electros replaced mechs, yet at every point tha game has evolved and got better - why is this such a Rubicon?

Just onto the original topic of this thread. Just looking at pics of Dynasty from the event and i'm yet to see a single one where they are using the fabled Dynasty shockers. D'you think they've all broken already and they are having to use spare emergency regular shockers.
Doesn't look very good does it...
EDIT: Hah, egg on my face, just found a pic of Yosh using a Dynasty Shocker. Either way, it seems most of the kids are using regualr shockers.

Till we've all got cybernetic implants and can leap from one bunker to the next in a nanosecond we still need the slight opening that a limited ROF gives us in order to be able to actually move without being drilled 50 times.
You still gotta reload, change lanes, focus on multiple targets -field design can change to accomodate firepower etcetcetc.

Admittedly I need a small golf cart to propel me around the field, but ya gotta keep up with the technology these days.
