Wow. I love both teams but this just seems a bit 'weird' for me.

Is it to prove a point about team rules, or just to get the best chance of making it into the top 18 next year?
Hey Si, no more weird than Dynasty filling in for Entourage, or Tigers filling the majority of their side in Vegas with Arsenal's second team, or Joy Division having half of Ironmen a few years back and so on :)

Si, I am sitting in 17th place at the moment, I need just one thing to go wrong in San Diego and I could be on the wrong side of qualification.
San Diego has got more pro teams lined up than there has ever been before in the history of Paintball, some of the those pro teasm have got no intention of qualifying but could also make it thru to the Sunday club and in so doing, bump some teams who are trying to qualify, out.
It's a frikkin nightmare for some teams now.
There is way too much at stake for me to risk letting all the hard work and money that's been put into the team be decided by a piece of bad luck or maverick teams entered just the for the hell of it.
Si, email me your tel number, I ain't got it.

Point taken. I guess it's just different because you are stating your intentions before hand rather than letting everyone find out at the event or afterwards.

Although it does seem strange I really like the idea of Nexus being in the NPPL top division next year, and I like the idea of finding out how RL would do in such a 7 man tournament...

Will e-mail you my new work number. My cell is still the same.

p.s. Obviously the RL guys will be wearing Empire and Shooting our guns, even though in under Nexus? ;) ;) :) lol.

Believe me, if none of my lads wanted to, I might even pick up an EBlade again, just for the hell of it.
Would be like sitting in a Formula One in a Go-Kart race :)

Robbo, don't take this the wrong way, because I fully understand your reasons for doing what your doing, but in Vegas the reasons we put out a mixed side was slightly different. With the reschedule of Vegas to clash with Campaign and our commitment to see out the EXL we had to send a couple of guys to Vegas and make up the rest with some guys from over there, (not Arsenal's second team, but much appreciated never the less.)
This was purely a logistical solution, if we could have been in two places at the same time we would have been.:)
As I said, not having a go just putting the record straight.:D ;)
Steve.

Steve, although the reasons for having substitutes may have been different, the result was still the same, people who do not normally play for Tigers or Nexus or Joy or Entourage representing said team.
Personally I do not like the situation but as I said in answer to a previous poster who was trying to take the moral high ground in criticisng my decision, I wonder how many teams out there would refuse the likes of Oli Lang if he became available for a crucial match.
At a rough guess I would say 'a big fat zero' !
So it would seem it's not the principle but the degree :)
