Pink & Orange pt2 ;)

can/will the paint distributors at the mills be forced

After all It has to start somewhere !!

and like MarkieX also posted
maybe paintballshell colours should also be an issue then
ok clear loaders are on the agenda but same should go for clear pods too then !
I think the place to start is to create a demand for pink and orange fill. When orange and pink totally disappears then perhaps paintballers will one day realize that those colors mark better than other colors.

I personally think clear hoppers are much more likely to hide hits than clear pods.

Sorry for me asking your opinion, what arrogance from me.

It depends on how close Millennium rules will be to NPPL rules. According to NPPL's website, as of today, clear hoppers will not be allowed past July 31. I would say that Millennium will allow them at least that long. Another case of "don't buy any more clear hoppers".
Sorry for being a pain. I understand that my eVLution II clear will need a replacement or some spray paint on it but, how clear is clear? I mean, one of my teammates' got a red revolution, it's obviously clear since you can see what's inside of it but, on the other hand, it's obviously red too. Is that good or not?

Why don't you state that just black hoppers are OK? That would make much more sense...

Markie X,

I definitely did not mean any disrespect with this answer. I still haven't learned when and where to put the smileys.

What I meant by read the words just as they're written is that the (NPPL and NXL) rules say none of those colors in exposed clothing.

There is so much qualification of the answers going on here that it is very difficult to make it clear and sometimes I have to repeat what I've already said in this thread and sometimes I forget what I haven't said.

Again, what it seems we have come to is this:

It looked like, when the announcement was made about the NPPL and Millennium cooperation, that we would follow NPPL rules with a few changes. Now it looks like the reverse is true, at least to start with.

Again, I've come on this thread to try to get those who participate in the Millennium series to realize that sometime in the not-so-distant future we are going to again conform more closely to the other major league rules. Therefore we should start seeing an end to inconsistencies about padding, colors and many other details.

I wanted to get us thinking as far in advance as possible.

As we discussed these issues it became clear and directed that any possible changes must be phased in and not put into effect, for example, at Maxs Masters. It may be that IF some changes discussed here get implemented into our rules they may not go into effect until next season.

So we won't have another round like this next year before the season starts and I thought it best to prepare people to think about NOT buying the items of controversy (extra-padded jerseys, pink or orange articles of clothing, clear hoppers, etc.)

Obviously I have failed in some of my wording and in some of my efforts because so many people (including Pipes now) have jumped on my case. (There are some people who have quietly shown their appreciation that at least I'm trying to publicly have a look at these issues and that I will stick my neck out.)

I certainly haven't intended to offend anyone; least of all you, Markie X.

To try to answer your question, Markie X, IF the color thing goes into effect sometime it will apply to exposed clothing and stickers, not markers. I hope that answers your question.

I ask everyone else to bear with me while I try to make sense out of this until we can discuss this in Bitburg.

IF this rule stays in effect and IF it is also adopted by Millennium then I hope it will be easy for most of us to distinguish clear from translucent. I hope we won't have to come up with some kind of scientific test to know the difference.:)

Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!

Lets all bear in mind that while Stevil Knievel is tha mouthpiece here at present, he ain't in charge, so while passing on messages to tha board here, lets not shoot their messenger when he tries to answer queries as best he can.

After all, he doesn't have enough extra padding to protect himself...;)

Now continue about your business.:p

>>I think the place to start is to create a demand for pink and orange fill. <<

Well by ensuring there is only pink & orange available
u ahve your demand for those colours already ;)

a bonus is :
players will notice it marks better than other colors

and the jackpot is :
Players start to understand why clothes with Orange & Pink coloring in them should be banned
after all understanding makes any rule to be accepted more easily
and the proof is in the pudding they just ate

but it seems
it s easier to force players to do/not do certain things with a rulebook in hand
than
the Millboard forcing the paintsuppliers for those two color fills only
or do the paintsuppliers just dow aht they feel like :(

if so does that also mean
that staining paint will be sold once again ?!?

Not that it makes any difference here but I received the NPPL rules 26 February, slightly ahead of them being published. Have a look at when the HB event was. We who work with Millennium immediately started analyzing, dissecting and discussing how those rules should be applied in our series. We expected there to be some discussions about these matters at HB and that there would be some announcements after we processed that. So here we are.

Excuses I know.

Not a dig at the messenger mate, just how shall I say frustration at the lack of information
