Then again, Richmond selling his franchise does make a bit of sense. Painball has enough issues with conflicts of intrests allready and it makes sense to seperate the guys in charge from the guys taking part like this.

If the Lasoya matter is still the case and he continues playing NXL then it would stay true to his comments a hwile ago that XBall was the only format he wanted to play. THen again people's minds change.

I don't know, I still can't see Dynasty in the NXL beacuse of the restrictions of play. The only option I can think of is that they would have an entirely seperate roster from their 7man/Open XBall. I think it would be seriously taking the piss if the powers that be allow Dynasty to play every event under the sun, while still being a part of the NXL.

I think what they originally were trying to present was a stable league, where everthing is already in place for TV to just pick it up. Unfortunatly with all this **** that is going on with the Ironmen running away, and now it seems most of Effect it is not presenting a very good united front for any possible contracts....

"Rumor now has it, unlike previously reported, that Smart Parts has bought the FORMER Miami Effect team that will now be playing Division 1 and NPPL 7 Man Pro...NOT the NXL franchise with a new roster...

The plot thickens as sponsorship and contractual agreements once again excite paintball.

Can Smart Parts really have this many good teams under their belt or is it just another rumor?"

this is rather contradictory to what TJ's crystal ball says.

- I don't

I really don't think DC Productions care if players play in other leagues as well, as long as they are only in the planning stages...... exclusivity only really matters once we get closer to actual production.... when it will definitely make sense.

I think the NXL franchise owners jumped the gun, for fear of losing the deal..... and grosly overreacted in how they bound the players.

- And maybe also thought they could kill off "the other league" by imposing the restrictions..... which everyone now know failed.

Perhaps some people in tha league are still too wrapped up in their animosity toward tha other league and are willing to cut noses off to spite faces...perhaps it works both ways...perhaps egos are what's stopping reunification rather than anything else...perhaps the players (I'll qualify that, 99% of players) are so wholly unimportnat to tha big NXL equation that pissing them off is tha list of tha NXL's concerns...

Perhaps. Perhaps. Perhaps.
