Lots of people will go buy a marker and expect it to work as they are normally advertised as 'best marker ever shoots straight out of the box' not please f**k around with this marker before you put air into it. Most companies would test the marker before it leaves the shop/factory.Originally posted by DeadMan
lets be honest
how many peopel would expect to buy a brand new gun, attach their air system, and away to go, shoot off some dry air through the gun?
in the manual provided by smart part, it states to turn your regulator down to a lower pressure, and then build up you pressure to approx. 140 (or what ever it is) OR if it crono's over 285 psi.
Once you have learned to drive you don't read the manual every time you change your car do you? you get in turn the key and away you go.Originally posted by DeadMan
with the ion, if you screw in your air or CO2, then quite honestly it is of your own fault that you did not read the manual properly. if you buy a car, would you drive it without learning howto?!!!?
It's not "straight out of the box" tho is it?Originally posted by Mario
the fact it is, straight out of the box it didn't work. Therefore the entire thing should still be under warranty.
He has changed the grips on the marker and I as pointed out earlierOriginally posted by size 6 feet
this markler had only been dried fired two -tree times before packing up completely at a tourney just as i was going to set it up to try and use (instead of my dm4 and ego).
and id spent money on a barrel kit ,grips,no rise and on/off so it was blinging.and it did but it still didnt work.
I'll bet you a tenner that the gun stopped because the grips screws had dug into the board/solenoid causing the malfunction.Originally posted by MrPink
If you've changed the grips on an Ion (esp. to Hybrid ones) and you don't take care, then when you screw the grips back on, the screws can hit the board/soleniod and cause all kinds of damage.
This is because the hybrid grips are thinner than the stock ones, and this sort of damage would not be covered under a warrenty because it was due to aftermarket parts.
