i used to live in the UK (now reside in Canada) and believe it or not, the service and support for gear that comes from overseas ie, WDP, MacDev etc isnt great. its unfortunately a reality of an industry that is still growing.Originally posted by sie2050
have you lot noticed sp in america are fine but over here its a crock of **** im thinking that its discrimination because we are foreigners to the company this may sound like a load of nonsense or may not even make sense but wdp planet all give briliant service to us brits and to them yanks but the yank companys like sp bob long have either $hit or no support wot so ever.
wdp = techs all over the place
sp = a load of $hit no techs hardly anywhere
i own a shocker and love it but the service and support is below normal or even low standards.

An example. In canada, you will have no problems getting a cocker, timmy or anything from SP looked at and fixed quickly. If you own an angel though... expect to wait months for it to be fixed. I live in Vancouver so if my gun breaks i have to send it into the local Badlands store (the only authorised angel tech guys in canada) who inturn will send it to their 'master tech' in calgary. who, if cant fix it, will send it to WDP in england. all this of course takes time.
Its a sad reality that generally, the best places to get guns fixed is still at the point of manufacture. anywhere else, the service doesnt seem to be there. of course... im generalising quite a lot. im sure there are instances where guns have been fixed quickly and for cheap outside of their country of manufacture.
