Even the motorway signs all the way down here in manchester are reading. "london is closed to all traffic" or words similar.

We overlook East Croydon here and its been closed for several hours

Its just opened up again but its been crazy round here for a while

No way near as bad as London of course - there has been no actual incident here - just a security reaction to it.

theres lots of rumours at the moment, all thats confirmed is 4 bombs, 1 on a bus and 3 on the tube.

Really not good news at the moment reports that up to "Twelve killed in series of London explosions." Vertually all of the centeral london transport links have been shut down.

Thoughts go out to all effected

This is looking like its not the start of some bigger picture which is about the only good news.

Hope everyone and their loved ones are ok.

At times like this it REALLY sucks being so far from home.

Can't get hold of my best friend in London. I hope he was at work already when they went off.

Anyone know which lines it was? He lives in Ealing and travels to Central london.
