If you are gonna get pedantic on my ass then best go back to English classes and try to entertain the idea that 'talking' in this sense should not be taken as literal.
In this case it means 'discussing' and as such Nick is referring to posts he has made on these boards.
Language dear Saris is not mathematics (wish that it were) and is not an exact medium for communication and is intrinsically ambiguous....... hence your misunderstanding

How is one to know whether a comment should be taken as literal or not? By default pretty much all things all people read are taken literally. Sarcasm, humor, bluntness, etc are very difficult to intimate in the written word.

Reading my post, I subjugated this by stating it wouldn't wash in a court of law. I was intimating some humor, y'know. But you yourself have now attempted to reference the ethos behind alleged posts made which earlier you claimed you had no knowledge of their alleged existence.

By saying "in this case, it means 'discussing'" - well that's your point, and no doubt it's 100% correct, in your mind. which in essence contradicts the ethos of a forum - both in the original latin and in the relatively current WWW perspective. So if language is not an exact medium for debate, then what is? Fisticuffs? Just don't expect everyone to live by your own view of the world, y'know? I'm not misunderstood, was debating clarification. Not fundamentally a wrong action in itself - hope we all agree...

Yawn............................ Saris, while attending those English classes I advocated, go grab a dictionary and reference the word 'Nerd', acquaint yourself with its meaning and then go to 'File' at the top of your screen, click on it and a roll down menu will unfold and where it says, 'Get A life'...select that !

Either that or go play some paintball !


PS and if you read Nick's reply, that might just give you a clue as to the correct context of 'talking' in this instance.

PPS and if you had bothered to check out the smiley face on my original post, it would have given its context (unambiguously) as light hearted poke.

We both know you haven't talked about specific marketing ploys within the context of the NXL presentation on TV this December.

The option you give me of trawling thru a myriad of your posts looking for stuff we both know isn't there isn't a choice a sane person would make if he wanted to remain sane.

The onus is on you my friend, I have said, you ain't mentioned what I told you on the fone in the context of the up and coming TV presentation, you find it and refute me.
As I said, this is your big chance mate, take it !!!
Don't rely on the fact I certainly will NOT trawl thru any of your posts to erroneously prove your point by default.

Nick, I got no problem conceding a point to anyone as long as that point needs to be conceded, following your logic, I should have conceded European teams are as good as Americans or just as ludicrous, there are as many European teams as American, both points you made mate, not me.

Just so I got an handle on all this and I ain't lost persepective, I am gonna ask a few people I trust to tell me here on tihs thread if i was out of order in any way.
If they tell me so, then I got no problem in apologising, I trust their counsel.
