Iberian Cup... Who's on it?

Come on guys!!

This is a little harsh! I am sure that a these guys are going to put on an excellent event, they have 4 years of experience from running the Lisbon Millenniums and I am sure they will put as much effort into this event. Yes, Madrid is hot but so are Vegas and Miami, but as long as the organisers plan in advance for the weather then I am sure it will be an enjoyable event and hopefully very good for paintball here in Spain, a country that is relatively new to paintball but growing fast and producing some really talented players.

An un-identified user just created a Blog exposing the biggest paintball scheme ever...(dhuuu! you really must have too much free time m8 ;))

Firstly, my post was a light hearted joke, I do it many times, it wasn't meant as serious put down, hence the smiley face.

If you want to criticise the anonymity of the original poster, fine, but his points were valid, extremely valid but you have not even bothered to answer one of them......why not?

Even the mighty Robbo as come out to share is outstanding sense of humour.
I think we should be proud of such attentions.

Glad to see sarcasm is alive and well in Iberia though I fear 'proud' is somewhat overstated...... more....you should feel honoured.

It’s a pity that some players don’t understand that trashing events to please a sponsor is always a bad tactic because you never know who will help you in the next season.

You think people are trashing this to ingratiate themselves with sponsors???????
Are you frikkin mad ?????
People, as in this case, superninja, is merely bringing up points for you to rebut or at least try to answer, you haven't done either.
And as for the veiled threat for next season...hahahahaha, what the hell are you gonna do, throw Paella in people's faces who criticised you on these boards????

Just make an effort and try to use the forums for what they should be used, sharing information and promoting paintball.

superninja was attempting to do just that, or rather he was suggesting you are indulging in misinformation and therefore it is in your interest to let everybody know what the real information is, exactly the purpose of this board.
The irony is, you send me a pm criticisng me and taking the pi$$ outa me on this board and yet I have asked Ledz to book Nexus Eclipse in to Madrid just this morning, is this how you treat your customers?

Hi Robbo,

I know you weren't seriously putting down the Event. Although I only recently created this user I read this forum regularly for more than 2 years and believe me I know when you drop the hammer on someone :D...

The problem is that when you communicate using a forum you miss many things that you can fell when talking to someone. You can see if the person is joking or serious.
My comment and the PM I've send you were in the same tone as yours.

I don't respond to someone that doesn't even identity’s himself and decides to resort to insults to make is point. He can have all the reason for making is post but the minute we goes the path I can only pity him.

Hehehehe I really feel honoured to deserve your attention Robbo.

You know better than that Robbo. You don’t like when people take your comments and bend their meaning, so please don't do that to me. I think you are above that and don’t need that kind of low move to "win" an argument. You already have the "native language" advantage :D. You off all people in this forum know what goes on with the paintball industry so you know what I mean.

The irony is, you send me a pm criticisng me and taking the pi$$ outa me on this board and yet I have asked Ledz to book Nexus Eclipse in to Madrid just this morning, is this how you treat your customers?
I’m glad you are coming and I’m sure we will have time to talk in person. Once again I think you overreacted to my words. I know one doesn't piss at Robbo and get's away with it ;) .
I'm also certainly you will love the way we treat our customers ;) (did I mentioned the players party?)

I don't see where Superninja has insulted you. Granted, you may not feel too happy about what he has to say, but I still don't see the insult.

Yet all I see is you skirting around the subject, without even slightly touching the subject. But you do find the time to cross wits with Robbo. Makes me feel that you are uncomfortable talking about something, and that makes me hideously curious. It'd be nice to see you answer the questions Superninja put forward.

Dear Buddha 3,

You here also curious about the Dutch Events team and I think your doubts were unfounded. :D

As a forum moderator should know all too well the concept of trolling.
People that don't identify themselves and put this kind of post without any proof of what they are saying only deserve to be ignored. Any reply I give wont be enough and will only get me in to a debate with a no-name "foe" that clearly as strange motives to act this way.

I already explained what we are doing to take care of the heat. I already explained why we decided to include the names of the team we are in contact with but haven't confirmed.

We are going to make changes in the team list so that the teams that have the inscription pending appear in a different colour. (I hope none of them sends me an e-mail complaining about this)

Best Regards,
João Amaral

The question about Dutch Events was an honest one, and you answered that one. Had I doubted your honesty in answering that one, I would have argued, but I didn't.
I can see why you wouldn't respond to an anonymous post, but a lot of people who do put their name up asked the same thing, yet you still didn't answer then, that's why I asked again. (and I do put my name under my posts ;))

I'm not choosing sides here, I ain't saying you are wrong or Ninja is wrong, just wanna know the full scoop, as I think it all seemed very dodgy with the info that was out in the open. That's all.

As a final point, and I'm just stating my opinion here, I think it is extremely silly for a Millennium partner event to put up a list of names that are not yet confirmed or anything. It tends to reek of misleading tactics in trying to draw in more customers. I hope you can understand why some people might see it that way.

PS I feel that you still have failed to give a valid reason for putting unconfirmed teams on the list. To possibly get a faster response, as you said in one of your earlier posts? I don't buy into that... Not accusing you, you may have very good reasons, but this explanation I don't agree with.

The tone you used in PM'ing me and imply as being the same as my initial post, is definitely not correct.
You were being sarcastic in your PM, I was just making a light hearted joke !
Anyway, it matters not.
I doubt I will actually be going to Madrid but the Nexus Exclipse team will as I stated before, so unfortunately I will be missing out on the players' party, but hey, my team can make up for it, especially if they put up a great show like they did in Toulouse :)

Peace...and please say 'hi' to Pedro for me (my wife always thought he was a nice guy but she's been wrong before, I mean, she married me :))
