Re: Marcus ?

Nick, when he comes up to us after the game we played against him and revels in it, it's a bit hard to ignore
I dont think that that particular game was representative of the standard of judging at the event. Markus did play on for a while with hits on him, but then so did Nicky Truter when he mugged the last player with a shot on the center of his goggles
It was a case of half a dozen of one, and six of the other.
Markus played on and didnt get pulled for it (i,e a 1-4-1), and then Nicky played on and didnt get pulled for it (i.e a 1-4-1).
If the refs had been on the ball, (which they were all tournament, maybe that game they took a break
) then Markus should have been 1-4-1'd for playing on, and then Nick should have been 1-4-1'd for playing on as well. If either of these things had been penalised the i am sure that the outcome of the game would have been something other than a draw.
There is a huge difference between wipig and playing on. In my opinion everyone plays on to an extent. I pulled so many peoipl efor it at Campaign Cup from all levels, so i know it is widespread, whereas i only found one person wiping in 3 days. I think that playing on is not cheating, its pushing the rules. Markus got away with it, and Nicky got away with it. If eeither of them had wiped then that would have been more serious, but neither of them did. Playing on is more pushing the rules than blatant cheating.
