Hey, arn't you off-topic?

Seriously though, it's a natural progression of a thread. First you'll get some posts about what should be done. Then you'll get some posts about which of those things are possible, then which are more important, then why they are more important, and finally why the person who likes a particular idea that has no merit is an idiot. This signals that al useful discussion has probably been done already, and we start a new thread.

plus the last part is the only fun part.

Thing is jester, there is no news, and when there is no news to report, you have to fill in with insulting people and provoking heated discussion. Chicago also likes to throw out some unsubstantiated crap just to bait me.
As soon as there is news I am sure the whole thing will get back on topic. And you certainly didn't offend anyone, in fact I thought your post was on the money. Way to speak your mind.

It's not.....yet.
Integration is still possible if one of those frikkin 'details' can be ironed out because the prinicple of integration has been agreed upon by everyone concerned.

But from a purely selfish point of view, if the integration of the NXL and NPPL pro league doesn't go ahead this year then it somewhat negates the necessity to consider chopping down the NPPL numbers to faciliate the entry of those NXL'ers.

This would leave Nexus and Tigers (if Tigers in fact do choose to compete and not sell) still in the race for 2006 which would make me breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Hmmm, I know I shouldn't have the audacity to post, being female and all, and far from being an insider, but feeling a bit cheeky this morning. Blonde musings...
Since NPPL is the "players league" why do they not send a questionare out to thier captains, get some input (yes of course most would not respond, some would be utterly worthless, but they just might glean some useful information from their customers) & make the teams feel as if someone is listening.
Seems from reading these boards, and others that most players prefer xball format, but NPPL everything else. Is a 7man xball not feasible (we don't play xball so I really don't know), assuming that the leagues do want to merge? I do appreciate the concept that in xball one bad game, call etc does not put you out of a tourney.
As far as HK goes, perhaps if they did not get so much publicity (cough, cough) for accomplishing nothing but trouble their following would not be so great, and their behavior tolerated. (As I watched them throwing full cans of monster at each other in the pits during finals, and the ref just said hey knock it off). Now wouldn't that have been lovely if they had clocked some poor kid passing by...

C'mon, Ma, that would set a terrible precedent.

On the other hand the annual meeting is coming up the second weekend of December so any teams prepared to spend their own money to send a rep to Cali are welcome as long as they rsvp--which, I'm guessing, means a few Cali teams will send reps.

It would be a player's league if the teams in attendence got to vote on who the NPPL president was, along with the teams not in attendence getting to vote by proxy.
