Year ban, minimum. But I'm crazy like that.
NPPL to make local ammenaties aware that they can bring complaints against its member (members? are card holders members of the NPPL? is that how it works? fell free to explain anyone) If a complaint is brought, hotel state their case, players state their case. NPPL imposes appropriate ban, and fine to reimberse costs of damage. Fine to be enforced by indefinate ban until paid. Minor infrations lesser bans, major infractions larger bans.

In fact why make it specific to screwing with hotels, have a "bringing the sport into disrepute" rule. A catch all type thing. A player makes racist comments. Bam. A player slaps his girlfriend about. Bam. But do we want this. In the age of trying to sell PB as a marketable sport, and with the players and their personalities as part of this, do we need to show all nicey-nicey for the mums and dads worried about the influence we are having on little sammy? Or will it neuter the sports's image too much.

Isn't this thread supposed to be suggestions on reunification, not a pissing contest between you folks? Can we get back on topic?

It would be nice to see these posts moved to a new thread and continued if there's any value to the readers beyond the entertainment aspect.

Not trying to offend anyone, it is a great read, but honestly, I like hearing what others think it'll take for a merger to occur. As was originally posted, the powers that be do stop by occassionally and perhaps they'll take a few tidbits from the masses with them?

Catch all is a bad idea, let's just deal with property damage first and see where it goes.

And as for staying on topic, hurray nppl, death to psp (getting angrier....)

there is no reluctance from my perspective whatsoever. In particular I think HK's influence in SoCal is running out, due to their pissing everyone off one at a time and basically acting like twats. I think a years ban is perfectly acceptable as they are repeat offenders. I think a warning to SA should suffice, they are generally professional people who just need to be more discreet about the Kush.

I doubt hotels want to go through the trouble of any sort of process. Nor is it likely that a hotel is going to raise an issue if there isn't an issue. If the hotel says "These guys trashed their rooms", you ban them.

As for adding a new rule...

Do you guys even read the tournament rules? Both NPPL (Rule 18.07) and PSP (7.1.2) already have rules on the books that cover this issue - and BOTH of them even SPECIFICALLY STATE trashing hotel rooms.

NPPL provides for a suspension up to one year, PSP provides for a tournament or year-long suspension. No new rule is required; the league just has to have the sack to actually enforce the rules they've already written.

Jester, one of the people you have just accused of entering into a pissing contest is one of the very people who you have suggested may take a few tidbits back to the integration table :)

18.07 is used and applied regularly. It's just not really publicized. Hotels usually call Dan Perez when a paintball team acts up and report it to him. If you want details, i know of a couple ejections in the last two tournaments.

Now can we get back to the regularly scheduled catfight? :D

My deepest apologies to whomever that person is, no offense was intended :D But what tidbits will be taken back if all we talk about is who knows more about what ESPN/PP/TWI/Bart/whoever did or did not do for the Commander's Cup, or what to do about the hooligans (did I spell that right ;)?) that trash hotels?

What example are we setting if we can't manage to stay on topic on something this important to our sport? I rarely post, but do come here daily to read what you all have to say. Your opinions vary, but they're almost always intelligent and well though out and a great read. It's also nice to get insight into what "could" be going on at the levels above players and field owners. But sometimes your Ego's seem to get in the way of progress...something you've all metioned happening at the top levels yet something you can't seem to get past yourselves.

There are about six of you that have hijacked the thread into something else....let us little people speak up and be heard! We may have a point or two worth considering if we could ever get a word in edge-wise! :) :)

Perhaps I'm way off here, perhaps not, but thanks for listening! If I upset anyone, it wasn't intended. I have teh greatest respect for you guys!
