How often do people preface a post with, "I'm not sure if this belongs here or not--" [And most of the stuff in Speak now would go to 'Blather' . . .]

Baca, what I find funny is that you LOOK like you're sticking to your guns, but when reading through the lines you are actually taking a more temperate stance. You big girl, you're wussing out!
1- Demographics do not automatically mean that it will make for an interesting forum. But let's see if you can make it clearer by you providing us with an example lay out of what you have in mind. Because what you are proposing now, sounds a whole lot different from what you started out shouting.
2- Never said I knew all the answers. But I do at times know what won't work.
3- Never argued with that, did I? If it's tourney related, it should be in tourney. If it's not, it should be someplace else. That's so obvious, that you and I have just wasted prescious parts of our lives by typing in what never should have been typed in.
4- Then what IS the point? I agree, bigger numbers would be nice, but it's only a means, not a goal.
5- Not yet. Let's see what you're talking about first.
6- I agree that 4k isn't a whole lot compared to some other forums, but you seem to agree that most of those forums pale when their contents are compared to this one. And I agree that it's worthwhile to increase the numbers while at the same time maintaining high standards.
The way you are now coming up with what seems to be far more nuanced plans doesn't sound near as bad as what you first blurted out. So like I said, show us the stuff, big boy.
