Robbo that group was French and i got them to pose for a picture.
They did'nt understand i just wanted a photo of a bunch of w@@kers.
Hey Russ, actually they were Norwegian and were pissed off at the English judges on field 2 for some perceived bias in one of their previous games and since we were an English team playing on field 2 (against Strange) they added 2 and 2 together and came up with 197 and thought it might be clever to scream abuse.
I have since had an apology from one of their representatives who was there.
I can fully understand their feeling pissed off if they genuinely believed they were cheated by the judges but to then go on to boo and scream abuse at a team purely for being English is beyond me.
To put the record straight, the judges on field 2 were exemplary, I can swear on my kids we received no favours from them, or any other field judges for that matter but hey who knows what goes through a paintballer's mind when he has just lost a game and the judges seem to have facked up.
A loss changes a slight error of judgment maybe into out and out bias or favouritism, leastwise it does sometimes in the mind of a paintballer especially when the alternative is to face up to having made a mistake yourself or maybe accepting the judge didn't see things as you wanted him to....

OK... We might not be the best team at math, I have no problem admitting that :)

May be they should just simply mix the team of marshalls. Like this, Marshalls of field one for example would be:

- one french
- two english
- one german etc

So nobody would be able to say , marshalls of field one (who were in fact team XXX) were biasing games etc etc.

Chris bearing in mind that 75% of Yanks don't even possess a passport, this might go some way in explaining how you could come out with a comment like that.
If you had been over to the European paintball scene, you would know that the majority of Europeans can speak English (not American) and almost all multi-nationaled fields in terms of judges, function quite adequately thankyou...my god, even the Jocks can speak English..whatever next ?
Just kidding Sid and Macd :)

In fact, Ronnie Kilbourne, one of the NPPL rules committee, said to me last week, that it is imperative the NPPL get as many Swedish judges as is possible over for Miami so as to ensure a smoothly run tournament with regard to adjudication.
I don't think endorsements come any better than that !
Isn't having Kilbourne on the rules committee rather like hiring a known pedophile to be your family babysitter?
