So very true. Even the money for the best 5 (or whatever the number is) reffing teams is just a joke. You're not guaranteed anything even if you do a good job.

Can i add a few comments:-

this year is the first time that i have been able to attend the CC since it was removed from the woods, and i can honestly say i really enjoyed.

Yes there where problems with some of the judging, but on a whole it was fair and honest. It doesnt seem fair to tar all the judges with the same brush as most worked hard all weekend.
My only main problem with the judging was on the tomahawk field when 3 of us where told to remove our t-shirts (due i believe to us having dye tops) this i dont have a problem with once it was explained to me, but i do have a problem when stripped down to the waist and have no goggles on the Ulimate judges walks away saying he is "fed up with this" and calls for barrel socks to be removed.

This no matter what is a blattent disregard for the safety of the players on his field and for the standard of the tournament was a complete joke.

But apart from that incident the event for myself was really enjoyable.

cheers

Bruce

Jota- Having judged millennium before, and doing a good job. I see your point, it's a long stressful day in the hot sun for little return. I think judges need to be paid to do a good job..... entrance fees should rise and judges should be paid well-after the work is done...If people are only gonna get paid if they do a good job, I think you'd find amazing quality judging...but the players foot the bill

Not a single one of my players or me were checked a single time.

The "X-Ball access" cards handed out were also worthless, as I only once saw a dude standing at the entrance - for about 1 hour - and he never checked people.... he kind of just lounged there...

I'm glad nobody had anything stolen - but I fear it may have been luck more than aptitude, on the part of whoever you had working security.

Agreed. I was in the X ball pit area many a times without an X Ball pit pass.

However 7man security was good, got checked 8/10 times for id.

Xball is slightly different though, as there is always pit crew or team members near the team gear.

the only time you would have problems with xball security would be when the people without passes start interupting play (shouting from a pit and getting teams penalties.)

gear seemed secure while I was playing, even though I had been curious how on the 1st day they made such a fuss over the xball passes, and then had no one on the gate most of the time.

But all in all, I don't think it was a problem.

Cheers to everyone one involved with running the tourney, it was awesome, you should be proud with your hard work.

Thing is everyone is harping on about x-ball for the chosen few was great!!!! I watched the x-ball the legion philly games was excellent but that was the highlight of the weekend for me x-ball wise. At the end of the day whos to say that there will be anymore x-ball if the rumours are true.
