it seems to me this thread isn't really meant for (serious) answers

but let's give it a try

they won't allow them
but they are not thoroughly checking

Same as Drugs (for own use) in Holland :)

I wouldnt vote for that either but we arent actually being realistic here are we...?
*cough*RTMags*cough*

seriousley, some mach markers bounce just as much as electro ones!!!

Dunno if anyone else has posted this point already, but guys, you do realise that if uncapped FA was allowed, it could effectively render all electro markers obsolete?

You only need electronics in order to allow a very light trigger pull - which only really applies to semis (who cares how heavy the trigger pull is if you only have to pull it once every 200 balls?) or to cap the ROF - and hell if we're allowing FA anyway, we might as well go uncapped!

With mechanical anti-chop systems already in widespread use (level 10 on mags), there would be no reason to have any electronics in your marker at all - mechs can do FA just as well (if not better) than electros.

The entire industry would then have to focus on valve recharge rates in order to get a performance advantage.

There's a very, very easy way to eliminate all problems with bounce, ROF, yadda yadda....

Make the use of a non-force fed hopper compulsory for tournament play. Ban all existing hoppers and feed systems and lay down a single design for a 200 ball agitated gravity hopper (let's make it a Revvy clone for ease) which can be manufatured by all of the loader companies currently in existence.

Clear gem hopper with sealed motor and board (easy visible inspection). Any deviation from the standard design is prohibited and you don't get to play.

There ya go - 13bps (peak) max and people can still have as many cheater modes on their markers as they want. :)

Doesn't solve the problem of velocity ramping cheats.

Someone mentioned giving out sealed boards for all markers at events, then players givving em back at the end - that's an interesting idea.

Oh aye, can just see you average paintballer installing that before their 1st game.

Screw it let's take the equipment out of the equation, the tournament series owns a crap load of markers all with easily checked sealed boards, these are distributed at the captains meeting. Everyone uses the same equipment and you're left with a level playing field, equipment wise. What do you think?

p.s.. worst idea.... EVER!

I can just about understand why someone would go for a ROF cheat, but I can't comprehend the thinking behind trying to illegally ramp velocity.

It could potentially main someone.....and for what? It's not as if we really need to hit even 300fps any more. We're no longer playing in woodland with huge fields where range is an issue - most of the sup air fields I've seen you could happily shoot from corner to corner at 270.
