woodsball is a larf its just not fun when everyone play sodjers I ****in hate that scenario bollox .I fail to see the point in buying a replica sniper rifle for £300 and hiding in a tree dressed like Bill Oddie .Ive played a few big games and they suck big time ...groups of twenty geezers longballing each other all day and shouting at everybody else for not "pushing up" Meh..

and before anyone says "everyone to there own" No ..Bollox..
dunno about that, i like the fact thatmy ir3 is more accurate than these "sniper rifles" and it's fun to crawl up on long ballers and wipe out a few (then you get eaten but hey)

but there is too much long balling in big games for sure

You haven't lived until you've chased half of the manc union front line through a wood whilst wearing 100 lbs of fur fabric and no marker.

Good times.

Or dressed as jar jar binks armed with a paintbomb flinging sling. That was nasty, even the marshals were shooting at me.

I stopped tourney last year after too many injuries. Making a scenario comeback for staargate though..... the costume is even worse. Pretty sure the heatstroke will get me this year. No way I'll feel the paint. Not with all that leather and fur :)

sup'air beats woodsball in my book anyday ;)

i would put the change down to players wanting a break from the preassure of playing tornuments, and wats to play 'ball wothout the whole concept of sup air.

if you think about it, sup'air is very good as far as 'competition' goes.
all you have to do is walk on a supair field and you can feel the tactics and the 'sport like'
attitude comming over you.

walk into a forest and all you see is a good larf! :D

trouble is not eveyone's "sport like" attitudes are very sportsmanlike

lost count of the "cheating in tounaments" threads and articles i've read, but as for big games the only usual big problems seem to come after the north versus south games cos of the animosity some people feel towards the other end of thier own country at the best of times, and that is usally confined to the carpark and safe zone during and after the game

No, no, NO you can't "just find a bit of wood" to play in, it can only be privately owned, with the owners permission, a certain distance away from public pathways or roads.

But I think this thread was more about "organised" woodsball vs tournament e.g. regular walk ons or more particularly big/scenario games, rather than mucking about in the woods with a few mates.
